“We ordered Wok on In takeout after seeing all the wonderful reviews and the experience lived up to the high bar that was set! We ordered the sesame chicken with fried rice, cheese wontons, spring rolls, and spam fried rice and it was enough food for our dinner plus several days of leftover lunches. I'm normally hesitant to order sesame or hot/sour chicken because the sauce can negate the crunch when ordering to go but that was not the case. Each bite was perfectly cooked and crunchy and the sauce was incredible! The spam fried rice was filled with veggies, spam, and eggs and the flavor was great. I also cannot speak highly enough about how friendly and welcoming the owner at the counter was; He made us feel right at home! We will be adding Wok on In to our takeout rotation and can't wait to go back and try more of the menu.

“Dropped a load in town here & stopped in to check the place out because they had a lot of great reviews. Let’s just say 10/10 for me, believe the reviews. The food is awesome, hot, fresh, & very flavorful. We ordered the shrimp Po-Boys, gumbo, red beans & rice, & Gumbo. To top it all of the customer service is outstanding. The owner is very nice, welcoming, & all around great guy. If you want some great seafood & that Louisiana taste this is definitely the place to stop. They have TVs & a nice bar as well. We will definitely be back.

“Cheese dip was meh, probably wont get it again. My son loved the kids chicken quesadilla, rice, and beans. He ate almost all of it. Enchilada sauce was good. Rice and beans were good. We’ll be back.”

“Went by a couple weeks ago for some board games with friends. Sandwich was piled high and the room was clean and neat. What I loved was a diverse staff that was friendly, and an even more diverse clients, from parent and kids playing Ticket to Ride to all women game group discussing DnD and investigation board games to techies discussing 3d printing. We needed some miniature paints, so afterwards we headed to another local game shop. I've been a DnD nerd for over 30 years and as a woman, the evolution and renaissance of gaming has been wonderful. At the other game shop, I was the only female ID person, I was called ma'am (polite but meh) and minimally engaged with unlike at Valhalla. Games shops overall have changed, but Valhalla brings a fresh air to gaming while still having the quirky old-world flare. Wonderfully done.”

“I meet clients at coffee shops all over the Birmingham metro, but I don't like coffee. I can usually find something else to drink, but the non-coffee drinks are almost always overpriced and bland. That's definitely not the case at Buck Creek Coffee. Their smoothies are delicious, and I appreciate that they allow me to create my own combinations of flavors. During the cold months, their hot chocolate is also top-notch. One of the greatest benefits is how friendly they are to other local businesses. The owners are constantly going out of their way to help the businesses that frequent their shop in any way they can, and I've had several potential clients reach out because the DeVitos recommended me. My only negative is that I wish they were open later in the day.”

“Wow! Only Asian Restuarant open on Sunday! Our young Asian lady waitress was more than helpful and willing to accommodate our needs with my dietary restrictions/food allergies. We ordered the Tofu (Fried Bean Curd) & it was delicious!!! Perfectly seasoned with perfectly cooked veggies—which was mostly broccoli, baby corn, zucchini, green pepper. The Egg flower soup was okay—needed a few veggies like peas carrots or shrooms. But all in all, it was really delish! And I am very picky about my food—this was the best Chinese food I’ve eaten in AL!!!

Vegetarian options: The waitress was willing to accommodate my allergies so that the options were varied and many choices!! She was sooo very helpful & I didn’t even ask her name—but she wore a knitted ski cap!!”

“I bought a biscuit on the fly (few under warmer by register for the station) a couple of weeks ago and told my spouse how good it was. Today she said we should get one there as we were running errands. It was almost 11am. When i walked in this time i noticed the Sneaky Petes on the left side with tables and such. I ordered a BEC combo and their "other fav" bologna egg and cheese combo. Choice of fries or hashbrowns. Opted for fries. Both biscuits were delicious and the fries were fresh. Medium size cut. Not the cheap frozen crinkle kind. Ohhh so good. And under $18. Servers/Food Preparers were very friendly. Bilingual a plus.
Will be a repeat client!!!

“I really like Milos and we eat at the Pelham store regularly. However yesterday was a disappointment. The tea was terrible, it taste soured, and I buy Milos tea at the grocery so I know how it should taste. When I returned it to the counter the employee stated others had complained about the taste, so why didn’t they make new tea? Also the burger with lettuce & tomato kept falling apart because the lettuce was a huge thick piece too large for the sandwich. The regular cheeseburger was thrown together also. I’m not sure what was going on yesterday but it was not a good experience.”

“Had only visited this location once a couple of years ago when it first opened & was not impressed with food quality....decided to drop in to see how things are now & was pleasantly surprised. We arrived for a late lunch & noted very few patrons in dining room. Our server, Ian, was friendly & attentive. We enjoyed the fried catfish ( farmed in Mississippi!) and the New Orleans style crab claws in a savory broth. Side salad was fresh & appetizing. The fried okra was some if not the best I've had locally. We also opted for take home desserts....lemon blueberry cheesecake & the bread pudding....both were very good. Looking forward to dining here again! Service was excellent as well.”

“We had a great experience here. We were in a bit of a rush and we told our server that up front. She really made it happen for us - the kitchen got our food out quickly and everything was delicious. The back play area was great for the kids to run around a bit and have some fun while we were waiting for our food. Also, the fire pit - we didn't get to sit around it, as it was July but I can imagine that would be cool to use in the cooler temps! Will be back!”

“Atmosphere wasn't anything to write home about, it's a coffee shop after all, it was clean and well lit with the most recent health inspection clearly visible. The service was prompt and courteous, I would certainly recommend this Duncan to anybody.
