“My husband and I love Golden City! We started going 3 years ago, and it has consistently been our favorite place in the area. We love their sushi rolls, sweet and sour chicken, and hibachi. My favorite is the egg drop soup. Not only is the food fantastic, but we always love the incredible service that Golden City provides.“

“This was our first visit to Jubilee Joe's, but it won't be our last. The food we ordered was amazing. The Etouffè was the best I have ever eaten, wonderful flavor and a nice kick of heat. We enjoyed it so much, we got some to go. The Seafood Gumbo was top notch. Again amazing flavor. The service was fantastic, as well. Friendly and attentive. “A friend brought me to dinner here tonight. I relocated to Birmingham a few years ago and had been meaning to dine with you so when my friend asked where I said ‘The Fish Market.’ Well, not only was the food fantastic but your staff was incredible. Our server was a lady named Precious. I have never felt such hospitality from a server. It is hard to describe but she made me feel as though she was eager to help yet didn’t want us feel rushed. It was a genuinely wonderful dining experience and I’m not one to yammer on with recommendations. 😂 Additionally, the bartender (my apologies but I didn’t get her name) delivered my drink to ensure it did not get watered down. That level of service is practically unmatched. Please know you have two wonderful team members in Precious and the bartender. Well done!“

“My first visit there, but I had read the reviews and was a little sceptical. Yes, the decor was low budget plastic and the disposable plates were still the usual for Covid, but the food was very good. No better fried shrimp and oysters. Everything was cooked to order and hot from the fryer. I think some previous reviewers were expecting Captain D's prices for very good seafood. I will definitely be going back when I want good seafood.“

The food is absolutely amazing! they've got a beautiful waitress as well, she's always really kind and really sweet and really outgoing, very personable. she's very knowledgeable of the menu, always has a smile on her face and always makes you feel like your family when you come in. the prices are really great as well. there's nowhere else you can go to get an entree for $15.99, that's about average at location. you can't go to McDonald's for that. great food, great fun, great times, and I look forward each time that I go. I just got back today actually, I went to dinner there tonight. love it!“

“Excellent service & food. We will be back. The restaurant was cozy and clean and quite Italian interior. Would be good for a date night. The server allowed my Mom & I to split an entree. The sides were a la carte with pasta dishes. They have plenty of salads but I would suggest they add something like green beans to the menu...a green vegetable besides salad. The bread was soft and tasty. I would suggest spaghetti noodles vs rigatoni/penne for the chicken parm but chicken was great.“

Great portions. Incredible value. Had sashimi, sushi rolls, rice, and soup. Five stars on every single item. Even the vegetables were incredibly fresh alongside the other food items mentioned. Nothing frozen. I will be back, and I will be back often. They even have an incredibly good little menu for kids. So glad to find traditional Japanese food and culture so close to home in Hoover and Bluff Park.“

“Food is made fresh when you order and the value is great! Their “teas” selection is out of this world! Easily the most delicious drinks I have had in a long time. Wait time for food was appropriate with how busy they were- we waited for about 10 minutes, so it was no big deal. I am definitely going to be a regular at this place from now on!“

“Last night my husband and I ate dinner at Firebirds. Our steaks were INCREDIBLE. They could compete with Fleming’s or Perry’s. Our service was excellent. I wish I remembered our servers name, she was quick and very kind (she had on a David Yurman cross pendant, young and light brown hair). I do recommend making a reservation if you’re going on a Friday/Saturday night. As we were leaving, we heard the hostess say it would be a 3 hour wait for the party that just arrived. Will be back!“
