Nothing fancy but the food was incredible!“

“This place truly deserves all the accolades it has received over its many decades of operation. Even though we had to wait at least a half hour for a table on an extra busy Saturday night, it was so very worth it! The service was impeccable, but the real star of the Bright Star, is the scrumptious food. From the most delicious stuffed mushroom appetizer, to the freshly made crispy salad, to the fresh baked rolls, to the mouthwatering entrees, everything was culinary perfection! I highly recommend visiting the Bright Star as often as possible. Your reward will be gastronomical!“

“I had dinner tonight at Brock’s and the atmosphere is amazing. It’s very modern with an open kitchen. I got to sit at the chef’s table and was greeted by amazing servers and chefs. The focaccia bread was amazing and so flavorful and served with the house butter. I enjoyed the flatbread with rotisserie chicken, goat cheese, and grapes. I would highly recommend the flatbread. It was delicious with fresh ingredients and made in front of you in the kitchen. This is a perfect spot for a great dinner and to get away and relax from the busy day.“

This is my 2nd visit and I purposely drove 40 min from downtown Birmingham for it. Ordered 5lbs of mixed seafood boil, definitely enjoyed it. Half way through the food cooled down so the waitress offered to reheat it and the owner kindly brought it out for us. After we paid and ready to go the waitress offered us to-go drinks.Will not be my last visit.“

“Came here for dinner while visiting from Cali! I was very impressed by the taste and quality of food. They had lots of options to choose from. I particularly loved that you can get half pounds of a certain item and the bags already come with potatoes, sausage, and corn. Something you have to pay for individually in Cali. We came on a Friday night and there was a DJ as well! Loved it! If ever back down South I will definitely be coming back again!“
“This is the best fried seafood shack around. I've been eating here for over 30 years and never been disappointed, except when they went away for a couple of years. Anyone I've ever brought here or recommended them to has always enjoyed it as well. Great food, owner, and service. Servings aren't skimpy either.“
