“I’ve eaten at this location a few times. To-go as well as dine-in. Lunch and dinner.This particular time I ordered take out and the young lady at the bar Riley was a bit rude and seemed to be irritated.Also, I called my order in ahead of time and was given a wait time of 15-20 min and it ended up taking 30+min. Once I got my food it was not hot, it seems like it had been sitting for a while. Also, the quantity of food I received did not match the amount that I paid. I’m hoping that this is not the way it will be if I order in the future. It’s making me reluctant. I am thinking of going to another location instead in the future.Kid-friendliness: The restaurant seems to be more tailored toward adults, however it does accommodate for children well.“
“The absolute best trip we've had to Captain D's in Trussville. Took our order soon as we walked in the door. Got our drinks and food order was ready before we got seated. Fish, shrimp, and fries were hot! Everything was very good. All people working were friendly and pleasant. Enjoyed our visit there.“

“Catfish wasnt as warm as I wanted but I got this off of DD so that is why I'm sure, but portions were big.good flavors and everything tasted great. I got catfish, Mac n cheese, okra, wings and cheese bacon fries which were huge and had sooooo much bacon. Could've had more cheese sauce but over all great prices for big portions.“
“My husband doesn't eat seafood but thought I'd like to try a new place. He loves red beans and rice and it was definitely a hit for him! Neither of us could finish our food, but it didn't stop us from taking it home for leftovers. Highly recommend! Also, they have the best fried pickles I've ever tasted.“
“Love this restaurant!! All of the staff are friendly and go the extra mile for you. I absolutely love the Dungeness Crab Combo (#4)!! Fantastic!!! Crab, shrimp, sausage, boiled eggs, corn on the cob, and potatoes! Yummmm!!! Love it! I even have left overs for supper tonight! Today we had a new waitress, Brittany, who had just started yesterday. She was absolutely fabulous! Never needed to ask for anything, she was right there!!! She has a great personality and made the experience much more enjoyable! Thanks Brittany!! Can't wait to go back! They’re accommodating to how you like them prepared and generally in point with service. No frills at all, just business. Drive through or walk-in…there’s always a line but it moves quickly. “My first time here and have to say I have never had a more pleasant experience. The staff was very friendly and respectful. I spoke with a manager who instead of being behind the scenes was out on the floor helping his staff with the day to day cleaning. I have a lot of respect for this manager and his staff.
