We took a couple with us there for their first visit, however it was hard for us to carry on a conversation due to the level of noise from other tables. “Ok, so I’ve been to SoHo Standard for brunch many, many times and it is my absolute FAVORITE dining experience in Birmingham. We stopped in yesterday afternoon for some cocktails and they were having a happy hour. It was absolutely incredible! We enjoyed the feta dip and the bacon wrapped dates. Delicious and you cannot beat the price!!! I was wishing that we didn’t have a dinner reservation for later in the evening so that we could just eat there! The drinks were also fantastic. I had an espresso martini and a Moscow mule. One of the best espresso martinis I’ve ever had. Stephanie was our server and she was amazing! Super sweet and attentive. I cannot want to go back and try more off their happy hour and dinner menus!!!“

I relocated to Birmingham a few years ago and had been meaning to dine with you so when my friend asked where I said ‘The Fish Market.’ Well, not only was the food fantastic but your staff was incredible. Our server was a lady named Precious. I have never felt such hospitality from a server. It is hard to describe but she made me feel as though she was eager to help yet didn’t want us feel rushed. It was a genuinely wonderful dining experience and I’m not one to yammer on with recommendations. 😂 Additionally, the bartender (my apologies but I didn’t get her name) delivered my drink to ensure it did not get watered down. That level of service is practically unmatched. Please know you have two wonderful team members in Precious and the bartender. Well done!“

“My first visit there, but I had read the reviews and was a little sceptical. Yes, the decor was low budget plastic and the disposable plates were still the usual for Covid, but the food was very good. No better fried shrimp and oysters. Everything was cooked to order and hot from the fryer. I think some previous reviewers were expecting Captain D's prices for very good seafood. I will definitely be going back when I want good seafood.“

The food is absolutely amazing! they've got a beautiful waitress as well, she's always really kind and really sweet and really outgoing, very personable. she's very knowledgeable of the menu, always has a smile on her face and always makes you feel like your family when you come in. the prices are really great as well. there's nowhere else you can go to get an entree for $15.99, that's about average at location. you can't go to McDonald's for that. great food, great fun, great times, and I look forward each time that I go. “The food was fresh, hot, beautiful and absolutely delicious.
Steak was cooked to perfection, Salmon was even better in just can’t say enough good things about the restaurant.
The menu was very well laid out so it was easy to determine what you want and the wait staff was second to none of any place I’ve ever eaten.
Gail was our server and she was a 5/5 hands down. To continue with the staff every single person was on point the young lady who was the hostess seemed to genuinely enjoy her job. I didn’t get to ask the hostess her name and if I can share it in this review so I left her name out.
I have not one single critique of Seasons 52 and it was so good I called the manager to give a little praise because it’s always good to let people know when they do good. If I could give it 6/5 they all earned it. I enjoyed my meal so much I only got 2 pictures. We had a dessert and appetizer both matched the experience and even added to so much to it so make sure don’t skip those two courses.
This was a real treat and value for my wife and I as we were on a date.

“Masa is our absolute FAVORITE place to eat! Our kids LOVE it and the owners treat us like family with warm smiles and big hugs when we come! The food is always excellent with a HUGE sushi menu, we still haven’t tried it all yet but we have loved everything we have tried! Our 6 year olds ask for it all the time! “Last night my husband and I ate dinner at Firebirds. Our steaks were INCREDIBLE. They could compete with Fleming’s or Perry’s. Our service was excellent. I wish I remembered our servers name, she was quick and very kind (she had on a David Yurman cross pendant, young and light brown hair). I do recommend making a reservation if you’re going on a Friday/Saturday night. As we were leaving, we heard the hostess say it would be a 3 hour wait for the party that just arrived. Will be back!“

“If Google got rid of all the reviews more than a few years old, this place would have a perfect five-star rating. Clean. Simple aesthetic. Japanese caliber service and respect from staff. Great portions. Incredible value. Had sashimi, sushi rolls, rice, and soup. Five stars on every single item. Even the vegetables were incredibly fresh alongside the other food items mentioned. “I was genuinely excited to try this restaurant after passing by it so many times while traveling through Downtown Homewood. Unfortunately, my experience was a bit of a letdown. That said, it wasn’t terrible by any means, which is why I’m giving it 3 stars. A friend and I dined here together as most of my readers know, I often bring someone along for reviews to offer more than just my own perspective. Appetizer: We started with the Tallulah Wings, opting for the Sweet Heat Dry Rub with Alabama White BBQ sauce. The first surprise was that the wings arrived already coated in the sauce. In my opinion, when a sauce is meant as a dip, it’s best served on the side, not as a coating. Unfortunately, the wings themselves were quite underseasoned it reminded me of drinking a LaCroix, with just a faint whisper of the sweet heat flavor. That said, the little flavor I could taste had a nostalgic charm, reminiscent of Golden Flake potato chips and those are undeniably delicious. I just wish the wings had packed more of a punch. Entrée: Next, we tried the Social Stack, essentially their version of a McDonald's Big Mac. I have to say, it was significantly better than a Big Mac. The sauce was flavorful, the patties were fresh and well-seasoned, and everything came together beautifully. It’s a rich burger, but the crispy, seasoned fries helped balance that richness. The freshness and flavor made this burger a standout I’d absolutely order it again. If it weren’t for the disappointing wings, this meal would have earned a solid 4 out of 5 stars. As it stands, I’m giving it 3 out of 5. However, I do plan to return and explore more of their menu. I believe there’s potential here, and I’m hopeful my next visit will be a more satisfying experience.“

“Went to 2 different locations before visiting Prive/Palace. You get entry to the restaurant for free and the club in back for $10. Security will check you before entering and parking spaces were nice.

The bartender was very nice and the people eating were also very nice. We ate wings, fries, catfish nuggets and had some drinks in between visits to the back club“

“This is my favorite restaurant in the Birmingham area- Mr Jack’s crispy chicken is delicious!! They pay attention to details and it comes through in the food they serve. They have it down to perfection!!“

“We had a phenomenal dinner at Brock’s. Huge shoutout to Chef Mark and our server, Diamond!!

Almost as soon as we were seated, the manager came over to talk to me about my dietary restriction. He explained that Chef Mark had seen the note on my reservation that I can’t have added salt and had already taken it into consideration. What really blew me away was that they actually went out of their way to prepare a special potato au gratin for me with no added salt. That kind of thoughtfulness and attention is so rare, and it meant more to me than they probably realized.

Chef Mark is truly AMAZING. My filet mignon was cooked absolutely perfectly. It was incredibly tender, flavorful, and honestly one of the best steaks I’ve had, even without added salt. The asparagus was also cooked perfectly, and the special potatoes were unbelievably delicious. It takes a truly talented chef to make food taste that good while working around a restriction, and Chef Mark absolutely nailed it.

And then there was Diamond, who made the whole experience even better. She was fantastic! She was attentive, funny, personable, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. She took the time to give us detailed descriptions of different dishes and told us which ones were her personal favorites, which we absolutely love when a server does. It made the experience feel much more personal rather than just ordering off a menu.

Between Chef Mark’s incredible care and talent, Diamond’s wonderful service, and the manager making a point to personally check in with us, we felt genuinely taken care of from the moment we sat down. Brock’s should be very proud of this team. We will absolutely be back!“
