“My first visit was an all-around wonderful experience. We dined on the porch and my friends brought their dog. The large fans kept us cool despite the summer heat. A double thumbs-up for excellent yet quite affordable food and drink, a rarity in this day and age.“

“Best Po Boy I’ve ever had. Great bread. Fresh shrimp. Great batter. Delicious remoulade. Fresh lettuce and tomato.“

“I had a alligator bites and noodle dish. The noodle dish was very dense, flavorful, and filling. The gator bites had a sharp crust. Initially the waitress didn't bring out the remoulade for the bites and I was concerned. She finally brought the sauce out which gave the bites a flavor. My friend had the gumbo which she said was good. I dont think this is a quick order and go place. You probably have to call in your order if you want to pick up food. As for lunch, we were in and out in about an hour.“

“My first visit there, but I had read the reviews and was a little sceptical. Yes, the decor was low budget plastic and the disposable plates were still the usual for Covid, but the food was very good. No better fried shrimp and oysters. Everything was cooked to order and hot from the fryer. I think some previous reviewers were expecting Captain D's prices for very good seafood. I will definitely be going back when I want good seafood.“

The food is absolutely amazing! they've got a beautiful waitress as well, she's always really kind and really sweet and really outgoing, very personable. she's very knowledgeable of the menu, always has a smile on her face and always makes you feel like your family when you come in. the prices are really great as well. there's nowhere else you can go to get an entree for $15.99, that's about average at location. you can't go to McDonald's for that. great food, great fun, great times, and I look forward each time that I go. I just got back today actually, I went to dinner there tonight. love it!“
