“I loveeeeeeeee a good burger with bbq sauce and onion rings and the hickory burger DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! It was amazing and piled high with onion rings the onion rings on their own were crispy and perfectly flavored!It was a busy Saturday night but we were seated immediately (party of 6) appetizers and drinks came out in under 15 and entrees followed shortly after we finished our appetizer. Our server was super nice and attentive! So sad I forgot out left overs in the to go container on the table ????Parking: Accessible parking on the side of the restaurant and parking right out front .“
“This is our "Go To" place for Comfort food, like Mom's cookin. Pork chops with glazed apples are delish, plus their carrot soufflé is very special. I love their big soft rolls. Cabbage, greens and plenty of delish veggies to choose from. I like a B'ham classic dish , Fried Green Tomatoes. Ask for sauce to go with it. Their fried shrimp looks delish and a generous serving. Red velvet or carrot cake cupcakes are ready to go by the door and look very tempting. If you like country cooking with lots of choices straight out of the 1950's, you should try it! Decor is sort of Diner special. Hard working wait staff! Always too full for dessert but they look really good: red velvet cake, strawberry shortcake, etc. Be sure to take Granny there as the authentic dishes from her best days will bring back some memories!!“
“This is a MUST GO!!! My first visit at this restaurant and I have completely bought in! First, we were received with a pleasant greeting and immediately seated. Upon being seated our drink order was quickly taken and brought to our table. Our order was taken a few minutes after drinks were served...where does this happen these day?! The menu was filled with delicious southern cuisine. I ordered the vegetarian meal...it was great! This is such a great place for families and also good for a hangout spot. Good bar and tvs for watching sports. I was so pleased with the food, so I ordered our Christmas dinner with them. All the food was a hit! I will definitely go back.“
“The food, service, and drinks here were amazing. Our server Amy was very outgoing and an excellent waitress. Everyone that we interacted with was pleasant and cheerful. The atmosphere is laid back and relaxed. The drinks from the bar were well done, delicious, and prompt. The food was very good as well. No to go boxes for us. We ate every bite!“
“The food here is really good! I had the Mardi Gras pasta and it was delicious. Also had the Royal Red shrimp scampi appetizer, and it was also delicious. I do want to note that the two hostesses that checked us in weren't super social or friendly. Their tones were flat and they seemed more interested in being on their phones and talking to each other. A third hostess came along and was very friendly and engaging, keeping us updated of when our table was going to be ready.“
“20240327 ? 20% tip was already included in my bill. When I was paying with my credit card, it asked for tip. So I tipped $30 for $140 total, not knowing that 20% tip was included!! ? Good thing Ricardo was great, and with Bidenomics... the extra tip might help Ricardo out. I guess I should check my bills in the future.20240326 so happy this restaurant is dogfriendly. In town for a day and wanted a nice meal with my friend and her family. Ricardo was the best waiter. He was attentive, and very polite and nice. The food was delicious. I really like the stuffed grouper.“
