Food was mediocre at best. Chef hurried thru so fast there was no flavor at all. Waitress was grabbing things b4 u could finish. She would swoop in grab things So fast u couldn’t say you weren’t thru.not set to the side not empty. She was rushing you out. Horrible experience…will definitely drive to Hoover for Stix from now on.

MIZUWA Japanese Steakhouse is outstanding! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and valued. They were wonderfully inclusive and incredibly kind to my daughter, which made the evening extra special.

Every hibachi dish was immaculate—fresh, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection right in front of us. The flavors were amazing and the presentation was just as impressive.

What really sets MIZUWA apart is the warmth of the team. From the greeter to the wait staff, treated us like family and created an experience we’ll never forget. If you’re looking for incredible food and truly kind service, MIZUWA is a must-visit!

The old mizu was better the service here has gone down but still not bad, the food and customer service is where this place is not messing up! The sushi is no the same and the management is not professional and does not care about the service or what they are serving! Sushi was wrong and absolutely disgusting they refused to take it off the bill or even help out they gave 2$ off! And I sent the roll back one bite was missing! No chop sticks no sauce! Really really hate to see this place go down! This was my second time trying the new location and the sushi and management is horrible !

Food was great with really great and had big portions. It was packed! No available seats

I would have spent more money and gotten another sake 🍶however they didn’t ask me if I wanted another. No water refilled.

I’m totally bugged out by all the previous reviews about roaches 🪳. I would venture to insinuate maybe they had a remodeling and a name change from Mizu to Mizuwa due to the previous problems they were crawling with… 🤔

Gorgeous decor. Service was very good. The soup, salad and water were good. But the rice, chicken, noodles and veggies are awful. We didn't eat them and didn't even take them home. A waste of money and time.

Walked in and cashier( young girl red hair very rude ... other employees standing at the door conversating and nobody greated me . I walked up place an order and the girl was getting smart as I order. Then it still was wrong . I had to go back . No apologies or nothing . The tall white guy blonde hair was very nice . Others need customer service class.

First time diners and we will be back! The food was fantastic! We ordered from the lunch menu and enjoyed hearing people enthusiastic about their hibachi experience in the room adjacent to the dining room. Our server was so gracious and accommodating. Everything was fresh and delicious. Very reasonable prices. Already craving more!

I recently dined here. The restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere that immediately set the tone for what I hoped would be a great experience.

Our waitress was absolutely delightful—friendly, attentive, and accommodating. She took the time to go over the menu with us and made us feel genuinely welcomed. Her service was definitely one of the highlights of the evening.

Unfortunately, the experience was marred by a significant issue with the chef. We had specifically requested a vegetarian meal, however the chef neglected to cook the veggies separate. All veggies were cooked on top of the chicken oil. This was very disappointing, especially when we discussed this with the chef prior to the meal beginning.

While mistakes can happen, it’s especially important for restaurants to take dietary requests seriously—particularly when they relate to vegetarian, vegan, or allergy needs. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as everything else about the visit was truly enjoyable. We have visited several hibachi spots and most typically cook the veggies first to not contaminate them.

With some more attention to dietary accommodations, this restaurant could easily be a top-tier dining experience.

Food was in the upper echelon. Service was almost non existent. No plates, napkins or anything. We had to ask. Girl appeared to only have one table but only saw her again when it was time to pay.

I've been going to this restaurant for many years back when my husband and I first started dating. We had food ordered for our wedding from here.

We've always had wonderful family experiences here and have brought our children to this friendly restaurant. They have recently finished remodeling and the place looks fantastic. We look forward to many more wonderful years enjoying this place.
