This was not a very pleasant fast food experience. I’d been waiting for almost 30 minutes to finally get my food. Slow service. Lack of employees. Someone sat there for ages in the drive though and nobody responded to them, which held up the line. This seems to be an ongoing problem lately. Look at the latest reviews. At least the food was good.

Excellent service! Kiaria was very friendly and took our order right away. All of the food was just as we ordered and done quickly even during lunch rush. Very clean and quick place to stop if traveling.

The food was terrible. Honestly the worst burger and fry I've ever had. They're not greedy with the mustard that's for every burger we ordered was covered. The fries tasted old and stale, and the diet Coke had a weird flavor. This is my second day into food poisoning, so I don't recommend it at all.

There are a lot of things that are not controllable. It takes time to cook food, especially in non-peak hours where customer flow is low.
But there is one thing that is always controllable regardless of the restaurant: The Drinks.
It was a 20 minute wait from the time I placed my order until the time I got to the window to pay. The entire time, I saw my drink sitting in the window.
By the time I got it the 10 minutes back home, that total of a half hour had left the drink watered down and nasty.
It takes less than 30 seconds to prepare a soft drink. Wait until folks are pulling up the window instead of doing it when they're 4 cars back in line.

OK, it was after 11 pm and maybe the staffing was cut for the overnight shift but the prep time for 1 Whataburger combo seemed awfully long. There were 3 customets inside and the drive through was backed up the length of the building. But, on the plus side, the burger was great and the fries were hot. Not too bad for the lateness of the hour.
