From out of town visiting family and tried this place. Food was amazing and the staff were very patient with helping us order delicious food. Aqua frecas were Devine. Will definitely eat here again. Would love to see barria egg rolls added to the menu!
Parking: Parking right at restaurant is minimal. We pared across the street which was just a short walk
Update on my review 1/17/25: I drive a good way to eat here and the food is expensive but good. I always order SIX tacos plus other food and I’m always given just 1 red and 1 green for ALL SIX TACOS which is ridiculous!!!! I always ask for the total I need and tonight I was told after driving an hour(ordered 7 tacos and a burrito) that I was given one red and one green and could pay 50 cents for each extra . That is not fair!!! If I were dining in I’d have access to how ever much I need but to go means I don’t get what I need? This is my kids favorite place and I eat here WEEKLY but I won’t pay for sauce that should be included. I could understand if I ordered 2 tacos and asked for 10 sauces but those sauces are TINY and I’m ordering 7-10 items . It’s a shame but I will not continue to support a business that wants me to pay for something that should be included . I sauce goes on one taco. It’s not asking much to ask for 8 tiny sauces for 8 items (my son puts THREE on his burrito alone and now i have no sauce for mine!) I don’t think I’ll be back! I don’t feel valued AT ALL! This may seem crazy to some but stuff is way to expensive and I’d rather go somewhere that doesn’t nickel and dime me for 2oz sauces lol
I literally eat this every weekend! I absolutely love the steak and loaded fries! Food is always good. The ONLY suggestion I have is to give more sauces with take out orders. I always order 6 steak tacos plus other stuff and if I don’t tell how many sauces I need, all those tacos will come with just one red and one green sauce which is no where near enough since it’s multiple people leaving the food. That being said… I love the food! I used to eat at a place in boaz but choose to eat at Gordos instead! The green sauce is my Fave!! I’m placing my usual Friday order now actually lol

This is my first time eating there, and I have heard mixed reviews, so I had to try it myself. My wife and I ate supper there, and it was okay, but it did not have the WOW Factor. We were both not impressed with it, as most Mexican restaurants serve the same things.
Parking: Angle parking along a very busy street. Limited parking.

Quick service, friendly employees, clean atmosphere! The watermelon drink is amazing and the steak bowl is delicious! My family eats here often and we always have great experiences! PS the food portions are massive!
To be called Gordos way its not very Gordo friendly. Seats are super tight ever smaller than subway style seats. Im the big guy in my family but even my wife has issues being comfortable. We decided to get our order togo. But if they change their seating/tables I would definetly revisit.

I plan my whole week around the days that this place is open. The watermelon fresca is the single greatest thing my lips have ever tasted. I order 3 at a time and store them in my fridge for the days they are closed.. tastes like its straight from the river of Jesus himself. OR like the watermelons have been on a 2 week holiday in the tropics living their best life. The staff is so nice and go out of their way to help you. They are SO FAST as well. .I tried to have my daily cry shesh one day while waiting until the sweetest female worker interrupted by knocking on my car window with a smile handing me my food. 17 out of 5 Stars

Everything I have had here has been solid. The salsa and pickled items are good, the food is perfectly salty and acidic. The birria ramen is a must have.
