This is Davey L. Rich, the Burger Guy from the Best Burgers in America Association. I love Japanese food as well. The food at Ichiban's is awesome. Fresh served and BIG portions make it a great place to fill up on the best Oriental food on Sand Mountain.
Food is better than average hibachi fare. (For "fast food") Prices are acceptable for today's economy. The portions are generous. There is no table service - you order at the counter and pick your food up when your number is called. Casual atmosphere. Service is a bit slow, but each order is prepared fresh, so the wait was not a problem. I ordered small combination fried rice, and it could have easily fed two small appetites. Young front counter staff, not terribly...
The food is always delicious, I can get a roll for less than 8$. My husband ad the noodles. I tried them and they were alright. I'm more of a rice person though.
Do not listen to the people that are claiming they wait hours for food. Yes it will take a little while to get your food, because they make it fresh.
