We tried the chili con queso dip, which was decent. However, the flank steak we ordered cooked medium turned out to be overcooked and had an unpleasant texture, resembling liver. It was not enjoyable. On the bright side, the shrimp fajitas were tasty. Unfortunately, the drinks were a letdown, lacking sufficient tequila; the coin margarita tasted like flavored water. We also splurged on the Cadillac margarita with an extra shot, which, while not terrible, didn't justify its high price tag of almost $30. Overall, our dining experience was extremely disappointing and left us feeling underwhelmed, especially considering the hefty bill of $205 with tip. It's frustrating to have spent so much for such a lackluster meal.

This is our favorite family Mexican Food restaurant. From the chips and salsa to the menu options for children and adults alike, the food options are great and come quickly and well prepared. Prices have gone up over the last few years due to inflation, but that's almost everywhere. The sopapillas were fantastic! Service was a little slow for a relatively slow night, but our server was very accommodating of our requests.

I was very disappointed. It was my mother's birthday and we wanted her to feel special. The hosts was not welcoming and our waitress was not familiar with the menu. The food was over priced. Over all we spent more than a hundred dollars not including the tip.

I took the kids out to dinner at El Padrino, and everyone had a great time and a good meal. The service was great, and the value was good too. We are so glad El Padrino is open again and look forward to visiting when we can sit outside on their patio with the awesome view of the mountains. The kids had tacos and I had the sour cream enchiladas, all of which hit the spot. Thank you to all the staff that made our visit enjoyable!

Great place for lunch with a friend. Service was attentive and friendly. The chi ken puffy taco was outstanding and the enchiladas were delicious with the medium green chili. Definitely recommend for authentic Mexican food.

Food and service was excellent. The house margarita was good but came in like a mason jar type glass and not the traditional margarita style glass which was disappointing and decreased the pleasure (less surface area for a rim of salt!). The higher end marg came in a standard marg glass but was too sweet and not as tasty as the house.

El Padrino's continues to provide consistent, excellent food and service. That is why it is such a popularer place for Mexican at lunch, dinner, or even an afternoon hunger fix.

We arrived about 2:30 in the afternoon and there were few people so we had a small area to ourselves. The food was good. We each had a Coin Margherita - I had lavender and my husband had pomegranate. Each had good flavor. Not too strong. Chicken tacos, bean tostada and burritos were all good. Service was good.

For the first time in my life I was forced to send back my meal. The chile relleno was inedible! Couldn't quite put my finger on if it was soggy, stale, or truly gone rancid. Thankfully the waiter replaced it with a plain quesadilla.

Great wait staff! Chorizo quest was really good. Fajitas were really good too! They serve 2 different salsas with your chips. One has flavor and is a little spicy, and the other is bland with no spice.

Incredibly slow service despite numerous staff members wandering around, chatting with each other. Finally ordered drinks & food 15 minutes after being seated. Food was terrible. Side salad for $6.50 is a joke, for a small handful of bagged chopped romaine with croutons, tomatoes and cheese. Fish tacos had very little flavor, corn tortillas fell apart. With so many wonderful Mexican places in the area, will not come back here.

Enjoyed a fine dinner at El Padrino. Plenty of chips, salsa and guac leading to the main event which consisted of a tasty, well-prepared assortment of traditional Mexican fare. Our server, David W, was exceptional - very attentive without being intrusive, helpful with menu selections, affable, very professional. The only shortcoming, and reason for a 4 rather than 5 star rating, is the restaurant's diminutive wine pour - a small wine glass filled only halfway is insufficient in my view. Other than that, a place sure to please.

We went there for our weekly date night. Everything was great. We had very nice server, she was not a Star Trek fan but we won't hold that against her! We ordered the fried jalapeños. They were surprisingly good. I thought they would be too spicy for me but they paired well with the other items we ordered. Keep up the good work!
