This is my go to place for lunch, when my daughter is out of school. We always get waffles with bacon and the wait staff always go the extra mile for her.

The food is great! But it’s ruined when condiments like butter or jelly in plastic are put on top of the food. People drop stuff like that all the time and now it’s put on the food. I would give a 5 star if it wasn’t for that. They should stop doing that and just put it in the bag like everywhere else. And not taking to go orders over the phone are a huge inconvenience.

My very pregnant wife and I decided to go to the Waffle House on this nice Monday morning and immediately noticed it was packed (two cooks, two servers, and the manager), but as my wife used to be a server, she suggested we just be patient with the staff and stay. A server came up to us and asked if we were eating in, as multiple guests were getting to-go food, and we informed them we were in fact eating in. She went and told the manager so we could get the next server in rotation, and the manager, Danelle, looked at us and rolled her eyes. I immediately wanted to leave, but my wife, who was equally annoyed, said, “She’s hardly doing anything, so she won’t be serving us” (she was just standing there most of the time we were there). We then had a wonderful server who was very attentive and was continuing to set the shift up for success by doing the busy work in between serving her guests. We sadly didn’t get her name, but we definitely tipped her well. It’s people like that manager that make people not want to return to an establishment that you frequent, but it’s servers like we had that will keep us coming.

I refused to go to Waffle House for the longest, can't stand the servers screaming out your order to be prepared by the cook/chef, while we visited family during the holidays, we visited one and they have toned it down. Highly recommend them now. Prices are good also. Very clean.

I ordered a Texas bacon cheese steak and the bacon on it wasn't cooked all the way at all. I almost threw up on Christmas.
