We have been going here for years. We love Jake’s. We go almost every Friday we’re at the lake. They have the best fried mushrooms. The ribeye is always cooked perfect. I also really like the fried catfish. The ranch dressing is excellent as well. Very reasonably priced and the staff is always very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend calling and making reservations.

I took my mom in law out to dinner tonight here for her birthday. There were five adults, one teenager and one child in our dinner party. The only reason I am not giving a five star rating is because of the service. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was pleasant but the service was not the best. We had to ask for drinks to be refilled and there were other issues. They failed to tell me that they were attaching an automatic 18 percent gratuity to my bill, which meant she was getting almost a $28 tip. I had planned on leaving a tip but not that much. She was not overly busy with other tables so there was no reason for her poor service. When I said something about the automatic tip, that it was too much, she didn’t say anything about it. If you want a delicious steak and baked potato, then go, but expect poor service.
