Nice crab claws, big filets of catfish, steaks are good, but I think they are closed on Saturday. An hour away from me, but well worth the drive.

In town for my grandmother’s funeral, food made me so so sick with food poisoning. I had the catfish, green beans, and Mac & Cheese.
Had grilled shrimp , broccoli, and baked potato. Really good and nice folks. Going back for homade onion rings and Philly sandwich.

Got there one hour before they closed and kitchen staff left before making our food. Most food was ice cold waitress warmed up mac and cheese in microwave and reserved it to us . Was told theis was best restruant in town . Feel very sorry for people who live here if this is the best they have to offer . Sorry but I would not send anyone to this restuant even if it was last place to eat . No one cared about the fact that I complained .

My wife and I don’t live in Alexander City. When we are in town at the lake we make a special effort to support local businesses. We have eaten a Jake’s before and found the food to be very good. We ate lunch there today. We both ordered the fried pork chop. We were disappointed when we found the pork chop to be tough and difficult to cut and eat. We brought this to the attention of 2 servers. They told the manager. He advised us it must be the cut of the meat, but never apologized or offered to get us something else. In my opinion this is poor customer service.
