I was really looking forward to my meal, but unfortunately, it missed the mark. I ordered my steak cooked a specific way, and it came out completely wrong. When I brought it up, the only solution offered was to throw my already quarter-eaten steak back on the grill—not exactly an acceptable fix. For the price and the expectations, I expected better service and food quality. Won’t be coming back.

I'm not sure why every place in this town other than the Mexican restaurants want to serve that boil-in-the bag/parboiled type rice, but if I'm going to pay for a $22 meal on a medium size plate, I want homemade rice.
My pasta was delish. The chicken was cooked just right, and the breading they used gave it a wonderful texture. It wasn't too dry and was just right. The sauce was very good as well, but I'd have liked to tasted some more spinach in it, as well as the sauce. I felt like I was eating more noodles and trying to slop up the sauce from under every nook and cranny to go with the pasta, and theyre MAY have been 6 leaves of spinach. Both my sons chose chicken wings. I have to say that those are probably the best in town and we're delicious. I'd come back just for those. I did have a side salad as well with my meal which I forgot to take a photo of that. It was a decent portion size for sure.

I LOVE the Buckboard. It truly is my favorite place to eat in Andalusia. However, the service the last few times we have been has been less than ideal. All of the waitresses who have been there a while are wonderful! The owners are SO SWEET! But they are going to lose business because of the attitude from new employees working up front.

We have been loyal customers here for over three years and have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Unfortunately, our most recent visit was incredibly disappointing.
We had a party of six, including an infant, and waited outside in the heat for two hours after being told multiple times we were “next.” During that time, we watched several larger parties be seated ahead of us.
When we politely mentioned our prolonged wait to multiple hostesses, especially while others were being seated ahead of us, their only response was “We are having an off day and made a mistake.”
We understand that restaurants can get busy, but the lack of communication and consideration for our group was frustrating. This was by far the worst service we have experienced here, and sadly, it has left us hesitant to return.
We are sharing this not out of anger, but in hopes that management takes the opportunity to improve the guest experience moving forward.

This is me and my wife's favorite date spot food is amazing, service is always great and atmosphere is good and usually have good live live music on Friday and Saturday. Bonus is it has an amazing view of the lake always enjoy walking the pier and watching the turtles. Definitely recommend it to anyone and it's definitely worth the drive.

We went on a Thursday night, specifically wanting to sit outside. I asked the hostess, Rene, who also turned out to be our waitress, if there was outdoor seating. She didn't hesitate in saying the lights were off outside, but follow her, she'd turn them on. It was beautiful out there. Loved the dark boardwalk, & my daughter loved the catfish & turtles..fed em 2 pieces of okra...ALSO, my grilled Mahi Mahi was very, very good. 5 stars, we'll be back. Live band fri/sat pm's. Can't wait!
Kid-friendliness: My 9 year old was welcomed with crayons & coloring page.
