We were passing through town, saw the 5 star raving reviews and decided to give it a try, worse decision ever. Food made us sick the rest of our roadtrip, bathrooms were terrible.
We stopped here on our way to the beach and were hoping for something better than fast food. Upon entering, there was a faint sewage smell that lingered the entire visit. The burger patty is a frozen patty from the grocery store. Everything was ice cold except for the fries. The fries were dripping in grease. There was so much grease from the fries that my plate was coated in it. The lady taking orders was nice and the atmosphere was cool but we won’t go back. The sewage smell alone should’ve turn us around but the food was incredibly disappointing. Also was concerned over cleanliness in the kitchen. Will not be going back.

Stopped here to eat on the way back from vacation. The food was not good by any standard (dry ribs, frozen country steak patty, dry bread buns, cold fries). We could have received this same quality from a fast-food restaurant, if not better. The way you order was confusing and the lady running the place seemed very cold and irritated you were there to spend your money. Tables were not clean and it took 35min for four simple entrees to come out. I don't usually write reviews, but I felt this was not worth the money spent and suggest you keep driving into town for something else.

Seems to be a very local-focused place. There was no welcome from a hostess or waitress. The customers are expected to know to go to the interior, unlabeled, windows to get a menu/order. It was my first time there. The friend I met there was kind enough to take menus to some other new customers who came in well after us. The bathroom is unacceptable in a country with ADA guidelines. The "pecan pie" is in a tiny, round, aluminum container that is mostly crust. The baked potato with pork that I had was well-baked, and the barbeque sauce was tasty--but not unique. Does not cater to first time diners needs.

Great place. Food was excellent and fresh. We had a larger crowd and it did take a while for our order. A great place to eat lunch on the way to the beach or back home. Very friendly and the decor was vintage and awesome. The wooden floors set the place off.

I wish I could recommend this place. We had two different people recommend this restaurant , so we decided to give it a try. When we entered, we felt a bit lost. You place your order in a back corner, and, fortunately, a patron directed us to the right spot (we saw no signs that showed us what to do). We decided on beef BBQ. I had mine on a potato and my husband had the plate. We paid for our order and sat ourselves at a table (no table service). The table was sticky. We waited for a few minutes and they called us to come pick up our drinks at a window. The drinks were small, with a lot of ice. I ran out of iced tea quickly (and saw nowhere to refill). They called us again after a few more minutes to come pick up our meals at the window. I was underwhelmed. The potato was pretty small (for the price), the beef cubes on top had no flavor (other than the drizzle of BBQ sauce). The whole idea of good BBQ is to slowly cook/smoke the meat and this was just an ordinary cubed beef topping. I finished my potato and left hungry and thirsty. We paid over $30 for dinner (my husband had water to drink). In general, the hospitality is lacking (they need to figure out a way to greet newcomers and help them navigate their system and/or create a better system). They need to stop serving beef BBQ or learn how to prepare it. I don't plan to return to this restaurant.

We had several different dishes.
The crows feet was interesting. (Fried Potatoe Logs with meat and trimmings)
The Redneck chips were great.
My daughter had the chicken salad that had shredded chicken.
Nothing was disappointing, very good!

The food was okay but cleanliness had a lot to be desired. There was a lot of unique decor and we enjoyed that. We wiped our own table with a clorox wipe to clean and sanitize it. The salt and pepper shaker was filthy so we didn't use them at all.

I wanted to learn the history of the restaurant. It was intriguing. A different dining experience in that there are no waitresses. You order and pick up at the window. The tables and chairs were mix matched, which added to the charm. Lots of antiques and relics.

The food was ok. It was hot, but the flavor was in line with a tv dinner. My hamburger steak had no flavor. My dad's catfish which we both tried was so bad it hurt my tummy. This is the second time we've been there first time wasnt really better. I would not suggest the place. I went to bathroom to pee. The other lady was right diarear on the toilet. We'll go to Jacks next time or Davids Catfish. Never ever agian. Menu sux.
