My waitress Serena was the very best as was the hostess. We arrived an hour before they closed and they both made us feel at home and very welcome, not like we were putting them out. 😊 Even the people who came in after us were treated just the same. The food was wonderful too. I'm from Mobile,Alabama. And this was my second time here and I loved it both times. I have local David's Catfish near me but I prefer this one... May everyone have a Blessed Merry Christmas 🎁 for 2024...

We had a truly memorable visit to David's Catfish House to celebrate our Aunt's 90th Birthday. The service was outstanding—every staff member was attentive and made us feel incredibly welcome. The kitchen was absolutely on point, delivering delicious dishes that delighted everyone at our table.

It was a wonderful lunch spent with family, celebrating one of the best aunts on earth. The atmosphere, the food, and the exceptional service all combined to make it a perfect day. I highly recommend David's Catfish House for any special occasion or just a great meal with loved ones.

The food is good and consistent. The service is always good. The gumbo is really good and has okra like a good gumbo should. The cheese grits are good and the fried food is always top notch. Why are we serving shrimp that isn't deveined in 2024. Don't get the shrimp & grits.

Very friendly service and good food. My husband and I shared a hamburger steak with onions and gravy. Very good taste and was a huge serving with lots of onions. We shared a house salad and onion rings. The salad was delicious while the rings were house made and fresh, but not outstanding. The rest of our party had the Catfish and they were very pleased. One thought the cole slaw was on the sweet side. Drinks were refilled promptly, and the server was attentive and friendly.

As always, they NEVER disappoint!!! If you want them whole or fillets, they're the best. Service is always spot on. Fried Green Tomatoes are a MUST!!

Cute, hole in the wall place!! Was passing through town and saw their billboard and decided to give them a try. We got the onion rings appetizer. Son got the lunch basket. It was the perfect amount for the price. The slaw was great! Hush puppies were yummy! Fish was good and seasoned. Husband just wished they'd remove the black skin before cooking. My grilled shrimp were amazing! Hope to stop again one day on our way to the beach. Our waitress was great, and I wish I had remembered her name.

I was born in Andalusia but have lived in San Diego for the past 45 years or so. Yesterday was my Auntie Hallen's 90th birthday so my daughter & I made the trip in order to be here for the occasion. The highlight of the visit so far has been our meal last night at David's Catfish House! Auntie raves about this establishment so I was extremely delighted to discover that the food, service and ambiance lives up to the hype. The service by our attendant Jerica (probably misspelled 😊) was exemplary and the personal attention given by the owner (Heenan I believe) to my Auntie, as well as to the rest of our dining party was above and beyond. The staff, as well as a few customers displayed that "Southern Hospitality" that I grew up experiencing while living here up until joining the Navy in 1977. It was very refreshing and reassuring to see that some of the qualities that I so value are still being proudly displayed. As I previously stated, this is my Auntie's favorite spot and now, anytime I'm in town, it will be mine. A very big thank you to everyone involved in making this a joyous occasion.
