This is an absolutely beautiful restaurant that is extremely clean, smells perfect, looks beautiful and you feel like you are about to embark on a special occasion every time you enter, even if it's just an ordinary day!Unfortunately, on our special occasion, not our ordinary day, their food was not as grand as their atmosphere.Let me begin with the specialty drinks, when you order a drink that is described on the menu and you receive something that is completely different than the description of the drink on the menu you should not be told you are wrong. I do know what ginger ale tastes like and I do know my drink did not have any in it, I also know it didn't have any of the other items as described because I would have seen two of them. I was given a gin and tonic with a lime twist, not a Ginger gin gin.My husband's entree was mediocre, not what you would expect nor what we have had before at this establishment in the past.My fish was cold, my side was burned and when I suggested I receive one that wasn't burned it took the wait staff till the end of the meal before I received the vegetable... after I already ate the cold fish. Once again the wait staff was very rude.My husband requested water refills twice and only received one just before we were getting up to leave.The restaurant was not full, there were not a lot of things going on, it didn't seem like anything was in a rush. It just really bothers me that we were stuck in a corner and ignored... maybe this is the way they do business now.Hopefully it was just a bad day for them.I'm just happy I was celebrating my 34th Valentine's Day with my husband who I love more every day! This restaurant can't mess that up ??❤️

Wonderful find as I was making my way from Birmingham to Atlanta. Anniston is a sweet small town just North of I-20. True Southern hospitality at work here. Wonderful historic building downtown. I had one of the many daily specials, chicken, greens, Mac&cheese, black eyed peas and cornbread. All prepared with love, like Grandma was in the kitchen.

The food have always been good, you can tell they put their heart into what they do. The service is great- they are forever moving making sure Everyone is taken care of- that is the part I love about this particular eatery place. The Ambience is very quaint. Go check them out! You want be disappointed! They do have a Variety of things to choose from- So... you do have options!

PROS: The food is great. We always love the shrimp and grits. Great selection of food and the made to order is fantastic.Service once we got to our table is really good as well.CONS: I made our reservation a month and a half before since the do get busy around Christmas and we had a party of 14. We arrived 10 minutes prior to give enough time to prepare. We were told the table wasn't ready, which is fine. An hour later we were finally seated but not at our table (two round tables awkwardly pushed together). I noticed 5 minutes later the long table we were going to sit at another large party was seated at it. The hostess didn't inform us during the wait what was going on and it took me asking to figure out what was going on. After the meal I asked if they offered a military discount (not that I was expecting but it doesn't hurt to ask) and was told only if you're in uniform. Which frankly wouldn't happen that much and just seems kind of like an oh well you're paying us $400 for the wait, poor communication, and thank you for your service as a disabled war veteran but you're not in uniform so oh well. That was the general feeling I was given.Great place to eat but poorly organized and a family tradition of the whole family enjoying a meal together started very poorly do to this first experience.
