The cover charge works like the if you get there before 9 pm there is no cover charge after 9 pm then there is a $10 cover charge and at 11 pm the cover charge goes up every HR after 9 pm this is for tonight I talk to the owner and see about how the cover charge works on other nights so

I was at this bar last night. I don’t usually go to bars, and I usually don’t go for reasons like this. So I commend this place for reminding my why I don’t go out. When me and the girl I was with came in, it was an older lady bartending. She was very respectful and did a great job. However, later on a younger female with dark hair and tattoos came in (I don’t know her name). I VERY POLITELY asked her for a drink for me and the girl I was with, and was met with a very bad attitude and her rolling her eyes at me. She didn’t even say wether she was gonna make our drinks or not and just walked to the other side of the counter. I DID NOT say anything directly to the young bartender but I did turn and make a (very rude) comment about her to the person I was with. This bartender was LISTENING IN on what I said to the girl I was with and then very aggressively asked what I said in MY personal conversation. I asked her to come closer to me if she wanted to hear what I said and she refused so I told her what I said and she had me removed from the bar. I would completely understand if I directly said something rude to her, my issue is that she interjected herself into a private conversation and used it for some kind of power trip to be able to kick me out.
She works with the public, people are gonna say things she doesn’t like. If she’s gonna try that hard to pay that close attention to comments about her service that she doesn’t like and get THAT upset about it, she needs to find a new line of work. If I was the owner of this bar I wouldn’t want a bartender like that working for me.
I also tried calling multiple times and I believe it was the same girl who was answering the phone while I was asking to speak with a boss or a manager and she was claiming to be the owner, which I’m pretty sure it was just the young bartender trying to cover her own tail.

I went here to listen to Austin Bishop!This is a good place to go for live music.Didn't order food, only drinks.The Staff here were friendly & the place was clean.
Parking: There is parking on the street that I know of.Not sure if there are parking lots.I got lucky & found a spot on the street.If you get there early, you'd most likely find street parking.

It's a hole in the wall kinda place. Had live music with no cover. Drinks were definitely a one shot pour. Bathroom was clean. Smoking outside in back in covered unheated area. Several bars near by to bar hop.
Gave it 5 stars because the Bama King Johnathan East plays here sometimes only reason to go anywhere around here is to see Johnathan East play. Alabama is Johnathan East Country!

Worst place I've been to in over a decade! Bartender was a young, ignorant, rude, strung out mess that was more worried about getting phone numbers then doing her job. She is an absolute DISGRACE to the bartending industry!! Save your time and money and go to Dee Ford's!
