Ono Grill is in my hometown and I havent been back in a year or two, so imagine my surprise when me and my family went for dinner. It was beautifully redone! The new owners are by far the sweetest and respectful people to own this establishment. Annie was very patient and extremely kind in the way she handled our visit. The food was also far more delicious than I remember! We ordered a few sushi rolls and it came out to us on a boat! Yes, a boat to the table! Absolutely a beautiful designer idea and elegant display and the mochi dessert was a fun way to lighten the ending of any evening meal. This visit was the best I have experienced! ありがとうございます Annie!♡
This place was so good the server even gave me extra rice to finish my sesame chicken with. And my girlfriend has the steak and Shrimp and she got a plethora amount of steak and shrimp! Over all experience is definitely a 11/10. Came out in the time we order and received our food quick and easy.

Lunch today was so delicious! My wife and I came by to celebrate her birthday. Ono has the best sushi, so we decided to come during lunch hour. We were greeted immediately and sat down in the most perfect spot. The entire staff was so friendly and helpful! Our waitress, Shannon, went above and beyond. She really was great. She made sure we had what we needed but wasn't too overly observant, so we could enjoy our food. We never ran out of water. She sang happy birthday, as well. The food looked GORGEOUS and was just exactly what we wanted. We couldn't be more pleased. Thank you so much, Ono!

Stopped in at Ono Bar & Grill in Anniston and ended up really enjoying it. It’s not your typical chain restaurant, which is honestly refreshing. The food came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor, and everything tasted like it was made with care, not rushed.
The sushi was especially impressive — fresh and well put together — and the sauces and sides complemented the meal perfectly. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable, making it a great place to sit down and actually enjoy your food instead of feeling hurried.
Overall, Ono Bar & Grill feels like one of those local places you’re glad you found and will want to come back to. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the Anniston area.

Ono Grill has been a long time staple of Anniston for over 10 years and recently ownership has changed from an awesome Chinese owner to an extremely awesome Japanese owner.
I love how each owner bring their home culture taste to the table. The new owner has brought a new flare such as the sushi now has Japanese food art and it is beautiful. The food is still the same though the menu has changed a little but that is to be expected with new ownership but that does not mean the food is different nor is it horrible it is a pleasant delight.
When the new owner came she was very open yet reserved based off of her culture but she is quick to open up to you and even talk about her home town.
If anyone is looking for awesome service and awesome food come to Ono and enjoy the nice cuisines and excellent service from staff and owner

I previously would come here ALL the time. So frequent the employees knew my order by heart. It was the best comfort food and literally when in doubt on what eat for dinner. Ono was always a win. Recently they have gone through some changes and the menu, the food. It’s not at all like it was. It’s definitely not a favorite of mine anymore. It hurts to say but I don’t think I’ll be back. The hibachi steak is not savory, it’s dry and not at all tender. The rice is not fried even though that may be what you order it’s definitely just plain cooked rice. The dressing for the salad is not the same at all. Every time I come without fail they mess my order up. It’s all really upsetting. This place got me into hibachi and it’s sad to see the changes being made not be for the better but for the worse. They should have left the food alone and just upgraded the facility.
