Solid lunch spot to grab a beer and burger

Wow, best cheese burger I have had in the nine years I have lived here. Also there chicken sandwich is great.

You can’t help but to be curious as you walk by with the sound of people talking, live music, the single rope swings with people sitting on the patio, to walk in. You walk in to find the bar on the right with JC, one of the bartenders, greeting you with a warm smile. The help yourself draft beer concept and the home grown, home made pickle juice sample that’s is offered; just to set your taste buds up for your favorite liquor added as a shot (the small sample is free, not the shot), is nice! As I set there with my sour brew and vodka and pickle juice shot, live music flowing, I noticed that there is an upstairs with a welcoming server to attend you. They also offer Sunday brunch, that I haven’t tried, but the menus looks and sounds worth dropping in. I highly recommend to stop in!!!

I had lunch there today with friends! The food and service were excellent! D was our waitress and she was phenomenal! Justin was the cook and our meals were delicious! We will definitely be back again!

This was our first visit to this establishment. The service was very good. Fried pickles were really good. My husband enjoyed his hamburger. I can't say the same about the club sandwich. The bread was very spongy/pastey for sour dough bread. There was a woman openly vaping in the restraunt
Not sure if it was allowed or not. No one told her not to while we were there.

Great beers on tap along with awesome tasting food. The use of a beer/wine card to be able to pull your own pour is brilliant.

If you want a quiet place for lunch in Athens, this is the place. I had this weekly special of Two Tacos ($14, beer not included) and I can recommend taking that first bite before adding the salsa and lime juice. Absolutely delicious!!

Had brunch there today, food was awesome, sat at the bar, Jaycee and Vivienne were great! We've been customers for 2 years now, always a great spot 👍

We popped into the Alehouse when visiting Athens for the day. We enjoyed the craft beer and wine and chatting with the owner about his business and the area. Definitely recommend visiting the Athens Alehouse & Cellar!

Great little place to have a quiet chat with friends after work. Good variety of beers, loved the Nerd Sour!! 2 beers and 1 wine =$30 before tip.
