Elizabeth's Cocina Mexicana & Bar

We finally visited Elizabeth’s last night for dinner and let me tell you, if you haven’t been there to eat you’re missing out. The food, the atmosphere was next level. It is definitely giving all the other Mexican restaurants here a run for their money. Bravo! It is my new favorite place!

Dropped in for my first visit a month ago. We were greeted at the door with smiles.Our server was so nice and attentive. The food was delicious and my drinks stayed full. Im headed back there right now!

Hands down best Mexican food in town, possibly north Alabama. The food, the experience, the waitress PHENOMENAL!!! Our waitress was Elizabeth, who introduced us to THE Elizabeth as we shared our happiness in all 3 having the same name. lol. She is TOP tier at her job, we couldn’t have asked for better service. The FOOD, my goodness…. Fresh, hot, HOMEMADE…. 10/10 no notes. AMAZING!!!

Absolutely the best Mexican restaurant in Athens. I should know, I've been to all of them, and Elizabeth's is now my favorite. After eating there several times over the past few weeks, everything is consistent: Great food, great service, great portions and great service. The servers are friendly and helpful, and we will continue to spend our money at this location.

Traveled from Florida today and exhausted. BUT a wonderful dinner and margarita special revived our soul. Great food and great service. Would highly recommend stopping here.

When I tell you this is my new favorite Mexican restaurant in the area..... I mean it. They are so incredibly nice and the food is outstanding. I love the smaller restaurants (aka holes in the wall) but this has such a great vibe to it and i would be insulting to call it that. I love happy friendly places that make you feel at home and Elizabeth did just that. She is the owner and such a beautiful spirit. Make it a point to stop by here ASAP.
