i recently visited Lawler's BBQ at 1506 US Hwy 72 E, in Athens, AL. I was passing through and gave this place a try. It turned out very good. First, the decor inside is fantastic and I enjoyed walking around looking at it all. I was hoping to get a quarter of half chicken but they just had pulled chicken. It turned out to be a very good sandwich. A good place to visit.

I didn't want to come here to post but the lady Angelica is very mean yelling at me on phone and then when I get there she yell at cashier. Always and I usually like to come but seems very loud environment. She supposed to be a manager to. And yell about potato out and cashier say her fault. Why yell at them

I had seen coworkers eating the stuffed potatoes at work, so I decided to give Lawler's a try. I've never been a fan of stuffing baked potatoes with anything other than cheese and bacon, but I've heard so many people rave about Lawlers. My youngest son is even more picky than I am. I bought the stuffed potatoes for all four of us in my home. We all loved them, even my youngest! The pulled pork is excellent. The best I've had. And the " Two fer" Tuesdays make the potatoes even more affordable. I wasn't impressed with the blackberry pies at all, though. The crust has zero flavor, and the blackberry filling tasted like it is straight out of a can. The sweet tea was very good. The service was excellent. Even with long lines in the drive-thru and inside, the wait was short. I'll definitely go back for the potatoes, but I'll stay clear of the hand pies.

Parking: The parking lot is not that big there is only about 10 spots in the whole parking lot. But I can say there is a huge parking lot behind the building which is technically the Crackel Barrel parking lot.

I work at a local business office & we order stuffies every Tuesday from the Athens location. We always call ahead to pick our orders up, and every time, we get grief from the manager for having multiple cards to run. Ms. Angela has been hateful to our staff on multiple occasions and we’ve had enough. We love Lawler’s and look forward to Tuesday’s, but not recommend this location.
