I love taking friends here for the first time. It is wonderful not feeling rushed and have a nice conversation with a friend/friends.
The food is always great and reasonably priced. As for desserts, the caramel cake is my favorite!

I came by after Friday's After 5 ended and was on the way back to my car. I happened upon this table with slices of cake on it. I saw Red Velvet Cake and had to stop. I ended up with 4 pieces of cake that were ALL OUT OF THE WORLD DELICIOUSNESS!!!!! I so enjoyed speaking with the owners and their hospitality was 5 Star. I cannot wait to bring my mother over here to eat. I may have happened by, by accident, but definitely will be coming by on purpose! I live in Madison and will gladly make the drive anytime.

We took our friend for her birthday today The champagne chicken was very good. The Salad Sampler Platter looked very good and friend said it as good as it looked. She especially liked the cornbread salad. The cakes all looked delicious and are made in house. We tried the chocolate decadence and it was great one of the kightest cakes I have ever tried.

I had just walked out, I researched the reviews and stuff and the way people had talked they had an actual menu with a variety of teas and the reality was she only had a chalk board of three food items and just tea and water to drink but they you get to choose between sweet and unsweet. I was really let down about the entire thing I walked out after giving drink order. False advertising

Parking: I have known this family for over 50 years. They are wonderful to deal with and their food is delicious. I have had them cater several events and I get takeout often - it has always been great.
Apparently, they are very rude to customers that park in front of their building even older handicap people that can barely walk that are just using the parking spot to unload and leave. I would never recommend this place after what the niece posted in the Athens Facebook page.

They have continued to use signs from COVID for curbside parking. These spots are still public parking for the Square, not just their business. If you do happen to park there the employees will berate you. Even if you are a decrepit old lady. That attitude alone tells me this establishment is not worth the time or money. DO BETTER!!

I had the Garden Salad for lunch. I wanted the roast beef but she ran out of it before noon. So I say if you really would like something special on the menu, call and order early!!I enjoyed the salad. The only thing that could have been better is if the chicken was one that they actually cooked. You can tell it's like the Tysons branded type chicken with the grilled chicken sear on the top. The salad was huge which was a plus with the fresh onion and tomatoes! There are definitely more pros than cons and I will definitely be back.
