Me and my husband attended Barburritos’s this evening ! The young man Jamal was really rude to his colleague ! The other one kept working never said anything back to him but He was very pleasant to us ! I just think people should be nice to other treat other how they want to be treated !

I LOVE Barberitos and was so excited that Auburn had one when I moved and few months ago. Since then I've order from there probably 3-5 times. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME ALL (literally all) of my sauces, salsas, sour cream, etc I paid extra for are missing, I only get a very small portion of chips (even when ordering multiple menu ideas and large quesos & salsas one time still happened even purchasing additional chips). Usually my food is made correctly but most of the time I fine there are items missing or its very skimpy and not worth the money I paid for premium toppings and extras and I usually buy quite a bit of food!

Tried to grab a quick bite at 8:30 pm. Google and the signs on the door says closes at 9pm

I usually love this place. But this time I was a very grossed out. The guy making my bowl do not change his gloves once and was touching unsanitary stuff

I really hate to even have to write this, but the experience I had with this restaurant was beyond frustrating.

Every single item we purchased was extremely salty — not just one dish, but everything. It was so bad that I ended up bringing ALL of the food back the very next day. That alone should say a lot.

When I returned, I spoke directly with the store manager. He was very apologetic at the time and assured me that he would make things right. He told me that both my order and my daughter’s order would be refunded separately, and even encouraged us to give them another try on him. I provided both purchase transactions as requested, and he told me to allow 3–5 days for the refunds to process.

Well, here we are… and nothing.

I have called. I have texted. No response. I even asked for a corporate number and still got nowhere.

At this point, it’s no longer just about the food — it’s about the principle. I work hard for my money, and when I spend it, I expect quality and professionalism. The lack of follow-through and communication is extremely disappointing and honestly very unprofessional.

What makes this even more frustrating is that aside from this situation, the staff I interacted with in person was actually great — which is why I trusted what I was told. But trust without action means nothing.

I don’t like leaving reviews like this, but people deserve to know what they may be walking into.

Do better.

Yikes. Usually love Barberitos Bowls but this one was so skimpy I felt compelled to leave this one-star review. Before tax this was almost $14. What a joke. Definitely not doing this again.

edit: Mark, I emailed you at the address you provided over 10 days ago and have only heard crickets. At this point I am going to assume the public offer to amend things was only an effort to save face than to earn back my faith as a customer. Keep your olive branch, I am going to take a hard pass on Barberitos food.

For anyone reading this, save your money and go elsewhere.

The food was amazing, it’s one of the cleanest options for food around, way fresher than places like Chipotle. The employees are extremely nice too, the one with the big beard was extremely kind as well, it’s a nice place to go that’s not too much like a restaurant but also quick and easy.

The team seems unhappy. No greeting. No please / ty. I can handle that but the kitchen line is filthy. The fryer oil is dark and the fryer is covered in grease buildup. The floors had debris all over them. Walls were also not clean. The team member who served me had a beverage and her phone on the cutting board. Great brand just not a great location.

If you are looking for a quick lunch or dinner, this is your place. Maybe I get lucky with the times I go, but the food is always fresh. I love that they keep the food covered so it doesn't dry out. Good service overall too.

Poisoned me.

We love Barbaritos, but multiple trips now, we have had food that was either not fresh or not stored properly and has resulted in SEVERE intestinal distress. Only plan on eating here if you have more bathrooms than members of your household.
On our trip tonight, we observed the worker prepping our food give the Southwestern Vinagerette a good *sniff* before putting it on our food. I trusted his sniff, but it seems that was a mistake. The salsa bar is also a regular culprit for having at least one of three salsas taste obviously out-of-date.

Unrelated to the health hazards, we also noticed the restaurant is no longer keeping grilled veggies made up but instead grilling each individual serving of peppers and onions to order. Slows everything down and takes WAY too long. I skipped ordering just for the staff's sake but, come on? That's just silly. How much onion are you wasting that you feel this is a sensible tradeoff?
Seems management is focusing on too many projects.
