Omg the service is awesome. The staff is so very friendly, warm and very polite. It was my first time visiting and I was a bit confused about how I order and also the menu. You had your choice of meats and vegetables. There were only 3 meats to choose from and I went with the roast beef and gravy. For my side rice which is placed under the roast beef (counted as a side) and I also had the cabbage as my 2nd side. The meal came with bread of choice (dinner roll or cornbread muffin)...
I had heard a lot about this place and had to try it. I enjoy southern cooking and the food here was average not stops out as amazing to me. The sweet potatoes had a little too much cinnamon, the mac and cheese was okay, but the fish was fried nice and crisp. Also, for the potions I thought the prices were kind of pricey.
Good old fashioned, country soul food. Fried chicken is some of the best in the state, but is occasionally a little tough. Fried catfish, every Friday, is also some of the best in the state. A good selection of veggies that change daily. I recommend the candied yams. Service is always fast and friendly.
