The grilled pork chop, collards and broccoli were delicious and well seasoned. The cornbread dressing had an unusual, non traditional taste that I didn’t like. Good price and portions.

My wife and I went here for a business Christmas party on Sunday December 7, 2025!
When we arrived we had to park a good distance away and walk to the restaurant. This place was packed and overcrowded with people, tables and chairs. It felt very cramped! Our party was in the back of the building in a room that had a previous party that they didn’t bother cleaning up before our party started.
The DJ played the music so loud we could feel our internal organs vibrate. Literally had to shout in order to speak/hear people at our table, due to the loud music. When people got onto the microphone to speak, the volume on the microphone was low so it was hard to hear what they were saying.
The best part was the food. Enjoyed it and the desert was good also! When it came to the alcoholic beverages being served, the bar tender put wayyyyy toooo much alcohol in the drinks. My wife got a Long Island ice tea and all you could taste was the alcohol. Others sitting at our table were overwhelmed over the alcohol content.
Overall the party went well! Happy the town is well lit at night while we walked back to our vehicle to leave.

I had the pleasure of being part of a group eating lunch at this restaurant. . I had the perfect hamburger steak. I also had the green beans and cornbread. Everything was seasoned well I am looking forward to coming back to try something else. Everyone working was very friendly.

I just left this restaurant and it was the worst experience - ever! We arrived at 12:11 and the server didn't take our orders until 1:00. There were two other customers in the restaurant. She never came by to refresh our drinks, or ask if we needed anything. We later learned, they automatically add 20% gratitude to the ticket, regardless of the party size ( no wonder she was so inattentive). After placing our orders, it took another hour before she brought the food out. The food was absolutely disgusting. Nothing was fresh or hot. Why did it take an hour to bring out food that has been sitting for hours, or days? I don't know how this restaurant stays in business.

Bad service will destroy a business—and today was proof.
I arrived at 1:40 PM. By 2:45 PM, I still hadn’t been given water or a place setting. By 3:15 PM, I had to ask for my food to-go because nothing had arrived. At one point, I was literally bussing down my own table while my friends’ table was being cleaned—wild work.
The only reason I’m giving the food five stars is because at this point it only exists in my imagination. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (in a dream).
To be fair, there was just one server covering the entire floor, but when you know a party of 40 people is coming in, you staff for it. That’s just Business 101. Instead, here I am at 3:36 PM, still waiting, while my truck has been idling for half an hour because I started it remotely thinking I’d finally be walking out.
I go out of my way to support Black-owned businesses, but situations like this make it incredibly hard to keep doing so. This is my first and last time here. At this point, they can keep my $70—I’d rather walk away with my dignity intact.
I receive my to go order at 16:10.

If I could give less than one star, I would. Service was horrible all the way around. Appetizers took over an hr to arrive and everything was disgusting. The wings were either over-cooked or cooked in old grease. The tortilla chips tasted how I imagine a napkin would taste. They acted as though they had to ration water as our glasses were only filled a quarter of the way. We were never offered refills. 20% gratuity is added to every ticket for “parties 1 person or larger for superior service”. Our service severely missed the mark. The live music consisted of a young lady singing very loudly to a track and made for an extremely unpleasant atmosphere.

Bistro on 19th might as well have been Bistro on Elm Street — because it truly was a nightmare.
I don’t enjoy leaving reviews like this, but our experience left much to be desired. It was clear the restaurant was understaffed, and while that’s understandable, how we were treated by our server, Nicole, was not.
From the moment we were seated, every basic request — water, champagne, food — was met with visible frustration and unnecessary attitude. It felt as though we were inconveniencing her by simply being there.
Thankfully, there was one bright spot: Ms. Kat. Though she was the hostess, she wore many hats — greeting guests, running food, assisting with drinks, and doing it all with genuine kindness and grace. Her attentiveness and positive energy singlehandedly salvaged what could have been a completely negative experience. She is the reason we didn’t walk out.
If this restaurant wants to retain guests, they’d do well to hire (and retain) more Kats — and revisit how hospitality is being handled on the floor.

First time trying. (BRUNCH) I ordered the shrimp and grits with fried catfish and the flavor and seasoning was phenomenal!!! The food was 10/10 and i would definitely recommend. The customer service was also top tier! Check them out.

The food very min. The mashed potatoes, collards and side salad was the stars of our whole meal. The chips tasted weird and the Mac and cheese tasted like dish soap(someone in my party described it like that). When we called to let them know of the issues we had the person just said well. The chips were fried today and I’m eating one now and it fine. 3 separate people tried these things and we all came to the same conclusion. The customer sucked and I won’t try this place again.

Catered Cole family reunion 7/11/25. The food was good. The serving time was delayed because one of the ladies said that they needed to go get a pan out of the oven. We didn't get a variety of desserts that was paid for and stated in contract.

Soooo I am leaving this review at the table. Been here over an hour, waiting on fried fish, waiting on the live band, waiting on my server, waiting on a fresh cup of water. Why am I waiting? My family got their food from the very lack luster hot tray from the back. My mom has bbq sauce in her face because we have no napkins. My sister ate her bland baked chicken with no hot sauce. And my fiancés roast beef hard as rocks. My pastor was the only one with sense at this table because he left. The table next to us also left due to them waiting an hour for food also. The server she’s working the bar and the male server told us if we had his section we’d be taken care of. Although we have not received server worth a hoot we are still expected to pay 20% gratuity on each and every single plate not by the table. Because our ppl don’t tip. Did I mention drinks flat, yams out the can. (My pastor recommended this place after church lol it’s ironic he left us at the table lol he was too hungry to wait but we were being polite and ordered because we didn’t want to offend him.) Now the band is finally performing also an hour late but Atleast it’s the best thing that has happened to me since I walked in here. My family is done their food and I’m still waiting btw for my fried food.
