Bright Star restaurant has been a Birmingham tradition for many many years. My parents are loyal customers and have passed their love of the Bright Star down to me. My dad loves their bread pudding. Being a New Orleans native, his pallet is discerning on this dessert and won’t touch it unless it comes from his mother’s Louisiana kitchen circa 1965 or the Bright Star.
