The sauce was different ,not the same as it used to be. I don't like it as much as I did the other. But that being said the BBQ meat was still delicious.

We stopped in on our way traveling across the state. We tried stopping for BBQ in Tuscaloosa, but the lines were too long. So we continued on our journey along I-20. While the food at Bob’s is top notch, so is the staff. Friendly & helpful. Glad we had a cooler. We were able to take some extra with us.

We stopped in here for lunch after a local recommendation. Overall we were pretty pleased with the experience. Loved that as soon as we walked in they had an open pit there with a variety of meats cooking. A sign said that Monday was their Catfish specials day so I thought I’d try that, that is until I walked in and smelled the smoke from the open pit. I then decided I would have to try their BBQ. I opted for their Low Carb Special which included 2 ribs, your choice of pulled chicken or pork (I chose the pork), and a salad. The meals did not include a beverage so that was extra. My meal ended up being just under $17 which for me seems like a pricey lunch but it was a generous portion of food. The salad was good but nothing spectacular. The ribs were really good, the pulled pork left me disappointed. I enjoy eating my BBQ without adding sauce. To me great BBQ should be able to be enjoyed with just the natural juices, smoke, and seasoning. The pulled pork lacked flavor (smoke or seasoning) and was very dry. Maybe I should have tried it with some sauce added but I’m diabetic so I try to avoid sauces which are normally loaded with sugar. This place is definitely worth a try if you’re looking for an option in the area!

I am a bbq snob, and I am very critical of all bbq places as I think I smoke some pretty dang good meat myself. Visiting from Kentucky, heard good things about this place and had to try it. I got ribs, wife got fish sandwich, parents got pulled pork sandwiches. FANTASTIC! Subtle smoke flavor on the ribs, sauce was very tasty, all other food was great. Great customer service was great as well. Highly recommend!

This place has the best barbecue and red velvet cake in town. The salads are awesome also!
Bob Sykes is truly awesome! Their ribs are wonderful, no sauce is necessary. The pork sandwiches are excellent too. They've been around for years and do a great job!! They are usually busy so try to be patient, it's worth the wait!!
