“Masa is our absolute FAVORITE place to eat! Our kids LOVE it and the owners treat us like family with warm smiles and big hugs when we come! The food is always excellent with a HUGE sushi menu, we still haven’t tried it all yet but we have loved everything we have tried! Our 6 year olds ask for it all the time! Masa is like our home away from home when we need an excellent meal and don’t feel like cooking!“

“Moved to the area not long ago from Nashville. We were concerned about finding a good sushi place and have tried several around Hoover with not finding the right place yet. Tonight we decided to try Unagi and we are so glad we did! Edamame was fresh, wife had the Hometown Roll and I had the Big Al with Soypaper. They were both delish! Service was just as good. Also had the house ginger salad to round out an overall GREAT experience and meal! We will be back for sure and the bonus is living withing 2 mins. Thanks for a great experience!“

“My favorite neighborhood Sushi spot. Always super nice, reasonable priced and delicious. I usually get the hawaii roll and house Philly roll Togo and then enjoy a Sapporo while the sushi is being prepared. It’s a great way to finish off the day and dive into Netflix. Highly recommend!

“The most authentic, incredibly delicious sushi we have had since we moved to Alabama. Their vast a la carte menu features ACTUAL squid and tako which are two of my favorite proteins.
The service we received was professional, polite, and attentive.

“Originally ordered online via Storefront Doordash but restaurant showed it had canceled once I arrived. They made my order. After a little wait because of all the customizations, they served and I was able to go. Food was really good and a decent portion. Great price point and will be back.

“We placed an online order and had to drive 30 minute to get our order. Once our order made it back to us we found that one of the dinners was wrong. I called up there and spoke with the lady and explained the issue. At first I thought this was going to be a rough experience, but after speaking with her she told me that she would deliver the missing item to me. She drove way out of their way to provide customer satisfaction. The food overall was great and just the fact that she would do this to keep a good name for her business shows that they will go above and beyond for their customers. To do something like this goes a long way with me. Keep up that attitude and you will be around for a long time.“

“We have been eating here for years. We usually have my mother in law with us and she’s in a wheelchair. They are so helpful and kind. We love their variety of food! Today I commented on loving one of their fall gourds on display for decoration and the lady at the front gave it to me. It was just so nice and made my whole day! Thank you again!“
