As I searched for a distinctive gift for my brother-in-law this Christmas, I reached out to a group for vegan dish suggestions and received a prompt response from Fatimah Shabazz. She prepared six meals to last the week, and my brother-in-law appreciated the gesture. It proved to be an exceptional gift! I appreciate everything, Fatimah. While I didn't take a picture, the meals were outstanding, well-prepared, and clearly labeled. ❤️

I had the pleasure of trying Solcial Veg at a Vegan Festival last year. My food was so good that I ate there again at an event the very next day! I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and the Philly and both were simply delicious! I’m not vegan (yet) but I truly enjoyed my food and wouldn’t have been able to tell that I was eating plant-based meat and cheeses! I also visited their location for their Sunday Brunch with my bae. We ordered the lasagna rolls, and the chik’n & waffles. Both were a 10/10. I’m looking forward to brunching there at least once a month. You don’t have to be vegan to enjoy great food, and that’s exactly what you get here, along with great customer service with a smile. Try them out!

Finally tried the Sunday brunch and it was soooo gooood!! We had lasagna, a jackfruit quesadilla, & a breakfast bowl. Everything was fresh & delicious! My non-vegan family loved the food too and we all left full! We also had ginger lemonade & hibiscus tea which were so good I’m wanting to go back & get them in gallons.

As a new vegan, I found Solcial Veg to be a fantastic experience. The service was excellent, and the food, especially the cauliflower taco was flavorful and satisfying. The relaxed atmosphere made the dining experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend for a great vegan meal!

We stopped by here on Christmas Eve while visiting family and it was delicious. It’s in the building on the corner. We got a breakfast bowl and a pancake sausage plate and it was all delicious. Perfect amount of food for my boyfriend and I. The pancakes were perfect and I loved the strawberries they came with. The vegan sausage was also delicious, we gave some to non-vegan family members and they couldn’t even tell. Everyone in there was also super nice and the owner is a gem. You should definitely stop by here if you’re in Bessemer area, worth the drive & supporting local small business.
Flying back to Tampa from Birmingham, Slutty Vegan was closed so I decided to drive 20 miles in the other direction to try this vegan spot out since there were no others options….I’m extremely sad that I don’t have any other reasons to come back to Birmingham in the near future! The food here was simply delectable! Me & my daughter got the oyster mushroom chicken & waffles….WOW, WOW, WOW! The mushrooms were fried to perfection, the waffles were equally as delicious with a side of blueberry compote, WARM SYRUP, hot sauce and butter!! There was also hibiscus tea sold here which made everything even better! This place is very small and at first glance, questionable….but the service and thought that went into the food, I can’t say enough about it! I hope if I ever come back through Bessemer, Alabama that this place is still here, truly worth a stop! 10 stars in my opinion! 😋
