I ordered a vanilla cake, strawberry mini cupcakes and vanilla cake pops for my daughter’s 1st birthday party. Takeeka was WONDERFUL! We chatted about the aesthetic and she couldn’t have been any more spot on! I will definitely use Adored Sweets for future dessert needs. ?

The cake and cake pops were wonderful and everyone kept raving about how great the cake was! EVERYONE! My guests were even going up to other guests making sure they got a slice and telling them to make sure they tried it because it was that good! and THAT is how cake should taste and you have set the bar high for my future expectations, ha! It was moist, incredible flavor AND texture (best I’ve ever had and I can be a cake snob), and my vision was beautifully executed! Thank you again! Xo

This lady is one of the best bakers I have ever had the pleasure to meet. I ordered a cake for my son's 18th birthday and we are all hooked. We will be back for every occasion.

I had a very short engagement period and chose Adored Sweets for our wedding cake. She promised things she never did, even after I sent follow-up emails. (ie, offered to send cake samples in the mail, send me photos with glitter dust sheen options, available florals, etc). She updated my contract to include an extra half tier even though I had already said multiple times a 4-tier would be fine, so it needed changed. Due to some technical error on her end, the contract needed signed twice. I read over everything to made sure it described the design correctly. As soon as my husband and I entered the reception, I immediately saw the wrong design was put on one of my cake tiers. Per all our conversations and the wedding contract we signed TWICE, every tier was supposed to have the scroll piping with small decorative dots around it. Takeeka did an excellent job doing that on all of the tiers, except one. She took it upon herself to put polka dots all over the second largest tier of my cake -- the one thing I did NOT want.I believe she misunderstood my design request: I sent a photo of exactly what I wanted. On the contract she put the cake would have *her* signature scroll piping. I clarified I wanted the one in my photo which had dots around the scrolls. I asked her if she could do the one in the photo with the dots, she said yes. I don't know how that translated to her picking some random tier of my cake to put only polka dots on, when the other three tiers were the scroll work and decorative dots I asked for. I understand people make mistakes, and that's alright if they're willing to try to make things right. She, however, is not.The cake server who has had years of experience asked us where we ordered the cake from and told us he had never seen such an awful wedding cake before, that it was completely unacceptable, and we should contact the baker. It was so dry and crumbly it was nearly impossible to cut, part of it collapsed into the tier below it, damaging that one too. There was also hardly any raspberry filling.Right after our wedding, we received an email from Takeeka saying to let her know how we liked our cake. I politely and honestly let her know how it disappointed us. She didn't respond, so I sent a follow-up email a couple weeks later. Still no reply. Later, I called to discuss it but got cut off with "not saying you're not important but I really don't have time for this." We arranged for next week; the phone call was incredibly unpleasant. She hardly let me speak, would interrupt me when I did try to, and took no accountability whatsoever for how the cake turned out. She claimed she has "never ever been told her cake was dry." (If you read her FB reviews, you'll see that isn't true, and she's had a past complaint about it.) When I offered her again the cake server's number to discuss his experience, she told me she didn't think The Florentine was credible and wouldn't believe what they told her anyway. According to her, she did me a favor by even taking my order and charged me extra since it was a later order than she would normally accept, which is fine, but I expect to get what I paid for per the contract. She refused to refund anything & finally said she could give me some sort of discount for a future order with her so she could "earn my business." I never got a real apology from her and will forever have the horrid polka dots in my wedding photos and video. She acts like since she started baking at 12 years old, she is incapable of making a mistake, tried blaming me and the venue but did not once take accountability for how the cake turned out. She said she takes pictures of every cake she makes throughout the process and would send me pictures of how much raspberry filling she put between each layer, a photo of the email where I "asked" for just dots, but she never did. I even sent a follow up asking for what she promised, nothing. Finally, I sent an email requesting what the discount amount would be on

Takeeka was pleasant to work with initially, but unfortunately I realized it was all a front. I had a very short engagement period and although I had a couple different options, decided to go with Adored Sweets for our wedding cake. She told me she would do several things that she never did, even after I sent follow-up emails. (ie, offered to send cake samples in the mail, send me photos with glitter dust sheen options, available florals, etc). At one point, she updated my contract to include a half tier, not something I requested nor wanted. She must've have been trying to help me achieve a 5 tier cake with fewer servings, but I had already said multiple times a 4-tier would be fine and nicely had to let her know the contract needed updated back to 4 tiers. Due to some technical error on her end, the contract needed signed twice. I read over everything each time to made sure it described the design correctly: 4 tiers with raspberry filled white cake and cream cheese buttercream. Every tier was to have scroll piping with decorative dots as shown in a photo I sent her. She took it upon herself to put polka dots all over the second largest tier of my cake -- one thing I did NOT want on my cake and certainly not part of the contract I signed. I believe she misunderstood my design request: I sent an email with a photo of exactly what I wanted because on the contract she put that the cake would have *her* signature scroll piping. I wanted the one in my photo which had decorative dots around the scrolls. I asked her if she could do the one in the photo with the dots, she said yes, she could add the dots. I don't know how that translated to her picking some random tier of my cake to put only polka dots on, when the other three tiers were the scroll work and decorative dots I asked for. We texted to arrange a day to talk the following week. The phone call was incredibly unpleasant.
