Don’t waste your time, plastic plates and silverware, blaring music. Bartender smocking gum and texting on her phone serving a glass of HOT wine!!! A complete joke

I was really excited to try this place but got there at 10:30pm on a Saturday night and they told me their pasty chef was already gone and I could not get the brownie sundae I was really wanting to try. *Side note their menu states they stop doing desserts 2 hours before closing but we were there at 10:30 like I said and they did not close till 2am so they should have still been serving them but I didn’t argue just decided to get the Banana Fosters Martini that literally tasted like I was drinking hand sanitizer there was not any flavor to it, said it came with fresh bananas and all it had was a cinnamon stick on top of it.
The service was great and the atmosphere was good but I can’t say I will be back.

They have good drinks and desserts but I ordered a red velvet cake today and I couldn't eat it because I'm allergic to pecans 😔

The peach cobbler cheesecake was amazing but the drinks were a bit lacking taste-wise (the drinks visually good)

Although this wasn't my first time visiting, I wanted to write a review because this particular visit made this place a standout...some of my friends from out of town wanted to check this place out and we had an amazing time. The service was great, the DJ was grooving, our drinks were top tier and even though I had a minor issue with my order (because sometimes that happens)...management was attentive, KIND...and resolved it. That type of responsiveness is a hallmark of good business and definitely made me want to return! AND they have a happy hour and UAB employees get a discount. This place is definitely worth checking out...everything I sampled was delicious!!

I enjoyed my time at this bar. The drinks were good and the creme brûlée cheesecake was great also. Our waiter was very attentive and kept checking to make sure that we got what everything that was needed.

This is definitely the spot for your sweet tooth. I had a sugar rush. The drinks are pricey and theres an added charge per drink not disclosed.

Ampersand is cute and theres a nice laid back vibe. They have a DJ booth and the playlist kept us singing. There's limited outside seating and lots of seating inside. Not sure what it would look like on a busy Friday or Saturday night. We went for the infused desserts but they are not alcohol infused they are drizzled with icings and ganaches that have alcohol in it. We tasted NO alcohol. I was thinking desserts similar to rum cake that was not the case. The pineapple upside down cake was very pretty but it tasted simply like a box white cake no pineapple flavoring but there was a pineapple and a cherry on top. The alcohol was supposedly in the drizzled icing but we tasted regular icing no alcohol. The chocolate bundt cake was served as sliced cake. Surely a chocolate lovers dream but it was too much for us and the chocolate infusion was pointed out to us that it was on poured on the cake and can be seen on the side of the cake but again we tasted no alcohol. Disappointed 😭 Desserts are overpriced IMO!

Now to the Drinks:
Cotton Candy Cosmo - He likes a drink where you're going to taste the likka 😜 but the cotton candy is just novelty there was no distinct flavor profile.
Berry Chocolate Martini - Surprisingly balanced tasted like Lindt Chocolate filled with Cherries
Ampersand Island - definitely pretty loved the fresh fruit
Watermelon Lemon Drop - Super sweet loved the watermelon sugar a salt rim would have balanced the overly sweetness drink. My fault though we asked for sweet.

Cute place but we didn't get to try anything because it’s 25 and up only apparently! They don’t advertise it on their google page or IG, so just wanted to let the girlies know!
