I visited the Auntie Anne’s at the Galleria in Birmingham. The pretzels themselves tasted good and were fresh, which was a plus. However, there were several cleanliness and food-handling concerns that stood out. Dough was left out ready to be prepared, which in itself isn’t a major issue, but it was leaning directly against the glass separating the work area from customers. The bigger concern was that the glass seam and metal brackets had visible residue and buildup, which made the area look dirty and unappetizing. Another issue was employee hygiene practices. Workers wear visors instead of hairnets, but hair was visibly hanging into faces and coming out from the top of the visor. It didn’t feel like there was an effective hair-control practice in place. Honestly, it would be better to not pretend there’s a requirement than to use something that clearly isn’t working. Glove use was also problematic. Employees wore gloves but moved from station to station without changing them. For example, the same gloves used to handle dough were then used to grab oven handles, retrieve supplies, and touch items like cups, plastic wrap, and bowls—without swapping gloves or sanitizing in between. This made the glove use seem more about employee comfort than customer food safety. The food tasted good, but the visible cleanliness and handling practices really took away from the experience. With better attention to sanitation and proper glove and hair-control procedures, this location could be much better.

Absolutely Horrible Customer service, Ordered a Jalapeño Pretzel then had to wait 30 mins for them to tell to wait another 10 minutes. Then after asking for a refund, I was made to wait another 15 minutes for the employees to deal with the always growing line of people. I will not be back!!

Auntie Anne’s is my go-to place whenever I’m craving something sweet. The workers were kind, and the guy rolling the dough even showed me how to make a pretzel! 10/10 experience

Absolutely loved the customer service. I got 2 sweet almonds pretzels and a medium lemonade. The sweet almond pretzels pair up really good with some caramel sauce, or sweet glaze.

I was standing at the counter waiting to order with my family. There were two workers, one wiping down a counter and another on the phone near the register. My husband and I were discussing what we were going to get and the worker on the phone shushed us. We turned around and left.
I went in and ordered 2 regular pretzel nuggets. The young man took my order. He told me it would be 2 to three minutes. 10 minutes later I still did not have my order. Then he told me I only ordered 1 regular order and he said it would be 10 minutes. I had to show him and a young lady that was working my I-Phone the sale . It was two. I told the little boy working there, don’t ever question the customer! I have been eating pretzels there for over 15 years (since they have opened). Don’t think I will be going back.

They don’t know the menu whatsoever They gave me an item thar was not what I ordered and when questioned if it truly was the correct item: they told me it was. One google search proved to me that it was not. Awful staff, awful experience.

This is the best Aunt Annes I've been too. It was extremely busy . But the lady's who where working was doing a wonderful job. The General Manager Jessica has a beautiful soul. We need more people like her in the restaurant industry.
Ok, I was shocked to learn that the glaze for the mini cinnamon pretzels had to be purchased separately. Wasn’t the glazed included in purchases of the cinnamon pretzels at some point?
