Excellent food. I was feeling a little under the weather and I had the sop de pollo. It was excellent. The staff was incredibly friendly and the restaurant is very clean and looks brand new.

The service at Baja was great! The waitress was very helpful in answering our questions about the menu. They have lots of options like Mexican spaghetti that I've never see on most menus. We decided to go with something a little more traditional for our first time. We got the Baja Burrito and Quesadilla special. The portions were huge and we could not finish it! The food was good but exactly what I expected. We will be back to try something new!

The waitress was very friendly and kind. Unfortunately, the food was not pleasing to me. I really wanted to like this place.
we had order food to go for a company , when we got our food the containers were smashed together in each plate ! one of the orders we order steak and paid for steak but did not get it they gave beef instead ! the other plate when opened had a fly with its eggs on top of the food ! when I called the manager they only said ok ! not sorry for the fly in the food or anything like that instead they called us back to argue with us about the order . instead of how can we fix it ! I will never go back . the health dept will hear about this ! be careful with your food folks ! I do not recommend this restaurant !

I judge Mexican Restaurants by one or two things; the most important to me is; Chilies Rellenos. This Cantina wins. It is one of the few in Birmingham that actually makes this dish from a chili, not strips or canned, but with real Poblanos. This makes this my favorite Mexican place in the whole area. The rest of their offerings are quite good, and the bar is really nice. The staff and management are very friendly and helpful. The only things lacking are Mole and Tocinetas, but that is made up for by their other offerings.
