Bellini's Ristorante & Bar

Ordered seafood risotto- menu states Seafood Risotto$36 Gulf fish, scallops, shrimp, sausage, onion, cherry tomatoes, parmesan risotto, sherry cream sauce First off, I thought the waiter had made a mistake thinking I was splitting the dish with a family member because the portion size was so small. The waiter clarified it was two separate dishes. The portion size was UNBELIEVABLY small. To make it worse, both mine and the family members dish had ZERO gulf fish, 5-6 bay scallops (which are the tiny mini marshmallow sized scallops), 2 shrimp and 3 slivers of sausage. Next was what used to be the best Wedge salad in Bham. Portion size was very small for a wedge. After last night, as a family we decided more than likely that that was our last time dining at Bellini's. Hate because it used to be so good. We did ask if there had been a change in ownership and he said there had not been. Unfortunate night.

I brought my aunt for the first time and she really like it. She rated it 9/10. To drink I have the starburst drink and she had moscato. For dinner I had the Alfredo and she has the salmon. We split the bread pudding for dessert.

Overall, another fantastic experience at Bellini's. We met at Bellini's 15 years ago. We celebrate each anniversary at Bellini's. The food is awesome. The service is as good or better. The ambience is perfect. Chaz took great care of us and we had a wonderful experience. Thanks again. 

I really wanted to like this restaurant. It looked like it would be a great place for a celebration. Went for a birthday dinner, FYI they do not give a dessert for a celebration so if that's something you're looking for go elsewhere. Our server was very personable and tried hard to make the experience a good one, but couldn't make up for the fact that the food wasn't good.

Great lunch spot. Good menu with lots of choice from simple salads to robust entrees. Nice wine list.

We both enjoyed the Blackened Grouper! It wasn't too spicy, it was just right! I might have a new favorite!

Bright spot of the evening was the service. Tyler was exceptional! She was super friendly, efficient, and smart about all the menu offerings (including totally honest). She was quick to get us help with a wine selection which turned out to be perfect - and a clear choice for the future. Appetizers (oysters Rockefeller and fromaggio) were outstanding - couldn't ask for better. Salads (beet and ceasar) were very good. Dessert (white bread pudding and tiramisu) were also excellent. Entrees were good, just not quite up to the quality of starters and enders). Shrimp were a bit over cooked, scallops a bit undercooked, two fish dishes (salmon and grouper) were very good, but the accompaniments were a bit too cool when they arrived. (Noted - we were there at a very busy time) Now, all in all, we enjoyed the meal and will certainly be back. To repeat, a server like Tyler will, I think, keep pretty much any house cooking!

Among the very best food in Birmingham. I've eaten at all of the top ranked Italian restaurants in the area and this one should be # 1. From apps to dessert, every bite was absolute perfection! Don't miss a meal here!!

My wife loved the salmon and I had the chicken with artichoke and roasted red peppers, it was delicious!

It was great. Gave it 4 stars because I made reservations and still had to wait for a table.

Great place to enjoy Italian style dishes. They have something for everyone. We look forward to going back.

Everything was amazing! Blackened grouper was one of the best I've ever had! Highly recommend Bellinis for your next meal out!!

Scott did a great job acknowledging our birthdays. He provided excellent service and refills/replenishments were always timely. The food was good, not all the ingredients were explained upfront (e.g. corn chowder had bacon, unknown until delivered). Minor glitch, we always enjoy a special celebration here when we are in town visiting family.

We've been looking for an Italian restaurant we like since moving here in January. We found it. Outstanding food, great service, nice ambiance and prices they are reasonable.

Very nice venue for a Saturday date-night. Excellent chef's special and very attentive wait staff. We always enjoy this neighborhood favorite.
