Loved the pizza and wine. Some of the best I’ve probably tried in the south. Unfortunately, I got up to use the bathroom halfway through my meal and they cleared my table. What a shame, manager said they thought I walked out. As a successful business owner, that is insulting. I’ve never stolen before.
Also, the wine price for the bottle of Montepulciano on the receipt doesn’t match what is quoted on the menu. Had to ask for an adjustment. Let this serve as a learning experience. No tip was left. Dined on 2/13/26.
Birthday celebration of eight. We had a margherita and their calamari as antipasto and they were both delicious. Then our group had their steak, fish, Bolognese and carbonara. Everyone enjoyed their meals. We finished with tiramisu and their pots of chocolate. Delizioso!

A top
restaurant in Birmingham. I have never had a bad experience here, and now go about every other week. Their Sugo di Pomodora + sausage is a go to. Scallop risotto is excellent if on the menu when you go. If you are looking for just a pizza, I believe they have the best in the city along with Bottega Cafe.

We had concert tickets downtown so we thought we would make a night of it. Reservations for 5pm and we’re seated immediately.
It was a beautiful evening so we chose the patio. Music was light and atmosphere was inviting.
Staff was polite and attentive. We tried, the suggested, Mentone AL tomato salad to start. Served with thick, ripe red and yellow tomatoes along with some dressing and corn. It was light and savory. Had us wanting more. Excellent choice.
For dinner we chose the pepperoni and filetto pizzas. They serve a classic Neapolitan style wood fired pizza.
Pizza was a good personal size. Crisp crust with nice leopard spotting. Chewy inside with good gluten development.
Middle was a little soggy, but typical for Neapolitan style. Toppings were fresh and flavorful.
Chocolate Budino was light and fluffy with a hint of salt. The roasted hazelnuts gave it a nice crunch. The house made whipped creme was firm and smooth.
Excellent meal! No complaints. Highly recommend.

Atmosphere and service were fantastic as were the pastas. Very vegetarian friendly. Would give 4.5 stars if I could. Only exception was the pizza sadly as ours had a slightly undercooked soggy bottom. The flavors of the pizza itself were also amazing. I would pass on the burrata but that might just be a personal preference.

Really nice place with a cozy atmosphere. As an Italian, I can guarantee that the pizza here is truly authentic and very tasty — definitely above average compared to many other places abroad. The only small drawback is the acoustics inside, which can make it a little noisy when the restaurant is full. Overall though, it’s a spot I’d gladly recommend for a good pizza night.

I typically don't like Italian food and it's not high on my list. I was VERY pleasantly surprised at the quality, flavor, and freshness of the food here. I had the chicken pizza (I typically don't like chicken on my pizza at all), because this was recommended. I figured I would give it a shot and WOW!!! I would go out of my way to eat here again.

Only one trip (I’m from Nashville)- but my sandwich was so good I was compelled to tell my waitress that I wanted to move to Birmingham after 2 bites. RUN don’t walk to Bettola!

Wonderful experience. I was not expecting much, but it did exceed my expectations. The food is good very contemporary Italian not so much traditional. Service from the young lady at the bar was a 20 out of 10. I wish her luck on her interview and if she gets her job, you still have to keep her part-time. The staff was engaged and even Server is coming up to the bar service area. I will definitely be back I had the carbonara pasta. It was very good. I will definitely be back to try more food options.

BRING BACK HAND MADE HOUSE PASTA
This has always been on of my favorite restaurants for years, but I am disappointed that my pasta hasn’t been handmade like it used to be. The menu states handmade but this isn’t the same pasta that I have had many other times in the past.

The food was absolutely delicious. Got the Bolognese and the prosciutto and arugula pizza. Probably was the best pizza dough I've ever had and everything was super fresh.
In terms of atmosphere it's very cute inside but very very loud. It was hard to have a conversation without raising your voice. I would recommend sitting outside.
Service also felt a little lacking for the type of restaurant that it was.
Overall I'd definitely go back and enjoy the patio next time!
