This place was loud and busy! We got sat really fast and waited for drinks. Hot coffee was good! I ordered the breakfast plate and had a lot of food! Scrambled eggs, grits (they’re spicy), bacon and a big biscuit.
The food was great. I just wish I would have been offered some butter or honey. Then, we didn’t see our server again until we were done and ready to go. I could see that he was super busy.

940am - It was a Big Very Bad Bfast. 😔 Lukewarm hard eggs, hard biscuits, uncrispy hash browns, soggy bacon. No offer of butter or jam. Sugar empty. It was like it was cooked 2 hrs earlier& sat on a warmer. Poor service, good coffee, but no offer for refills. Highly Over Rated. Manager/Owner - don't you dare blame this on your waitress, this is your fault!

Had BBB DoorDashed. There is a hair on the pancakes. Very disappointing.

Big Bad Breakfast in Birmingham is a must-visit for anyone serious about breakfast. The menu is hearty, inventive, and unapologetically Southern, offering everything from fluffy biscuits and crispy bacon to decadent pancakes and savory egg dishes. Each plate is generously portioned, ensuring you leave full and satisfied. Signature items like the “Pimento Cheese Omelet” or biscuit sandwiches stand out for their bold flavors and quality ingredients.

The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, perfect for a weekend brunch with friends or a relaxed morning out. Service is friendly and attentive, making the experience feel personal despite the busy, bustling environment.

Stopped in as we were driving through Birmingham. Breakfast burrito is a nice choice. It’s a very clean environment 👌.

I feel like Norm from Cheers every time I walk through the door. Each of the staff members are friendly and engaging and will make you feel right at home! Behind the bar, Ashley has the most fitting personality and is on point with drinks and a good laugh with guests. Menu offerings are consistently good-comforting and delicious. Definitely my go-to for breakfast and lunch on the weekends!

Never had a bad meal or experience here! They are always hopping and have fresh OJ! Out of all of it the avacado toast is my favorite!

As a regular at the 280 location, I can say that BBB is consistently great and such a fun place to hang out. We like to sit at the bar and chat with Ashley. Even at their busiest...she takes care of customers and makes certain everyone is happy. Great service. Great food. Our go-to on Saturday mornings.

BBB is our absolute favorite spot on Sunday mornings! Ashley is the best bartender around—she knows our order before we even sit down. Our barista never misses a beat with our lattes, crafting them perfectly every time. We can’t wait to come here, see Ashley, and enjoy the lively atmosphere at the bar!

The food was ok. We had a great server. They sat us right by the door and when we asked to move due to the cold blowing in every time the door opened they were quick to accommodate us. My cappuccino was very yummy.
