Oh. My. Goodness. This has to be the BEST ice cream I have ever had. We were just passing through and decided to have a a treat. Honestly I would drive to Birmingham just for this ice cream. We got the brown butter and it was divine! So many delicious flavors and they change seasonally! Hope to return someday! The gal there was super nice as well.

The Big Spoon Creamery food truck is easy to find with its dark blue exterior and usually doesn't have a long line. I tried a couple of flavors but ultimately went with cookies and cream ice cream in a cup. The texture was a little odd, with the ice cream being somewhere between icy and soft that was a little off-putting. The taste was fine but wasn't full of toppings like I prefer which made for a boring experience. I probably would not come back to the food truck or brick-and-mortar locations when there are better options available at a lower cost.

Ice cream was good but mixed soo much as the flavor just sort of run together. Me and my daughter got different flavors but same for both. Price is a bit high but not the deal breaker. Had places to sit but needed to b wiped down. Given they had steady customers though.. staff was

My husband and I have been obsessed with Big Spoon for years! Banana splits are to die for! They have ruined "regular" ice cream for us & there are no flavors we dislike. We do love anything strawberry!
My family and I went here on a Saturday night. The owner was working and was unbelievably nice! Love that they have rotating ice cream flavors. I am not a fan of ice cream, and this ice cream was AMAZING!!! We will definitely be back for the great service and wonderful Ice Cream!Kid-friendliness: My kids loved the selection, and getting samples. They were very kind to my kids.

10/10 highly recommend! I googled vegan ice cream near me and this came up. While this Sammie is not vegan, I was able to taste the vegan flavors and was willing to risk it all for this Sammie lol. I'm a sucker for anything lemon so the fact that the strawberry shortcake ice cream was going to be served on mini lemon chiffon cakes was a win/win in my book. The gentleman who helped me whom I believe is the owner was super nice and helpful. I left with the complimentary lactaid tablet that they have available (genius!) and a sorbet to go! If you're in Bham or stopping by, add this one to your list
