My fiancé and I had a wonderfully delicious dinner at Cafe DuPont! We were able to sit at table 17 right in front of their gorgeous window, giving a picturesque view of downtown Birmingham. We had a front-row seat to the setting sun as we enjoyed our dinners, plus the wonderful jazz music and candlelight made it feel as if we were in a movie. The care and professionalism the servers and chefs provided were top notch 👌. We ordered the cheese plate and pork belly appetizers, and the pork was fork tender and full of flavor. Each of the cheeses paired perfectly with the crostini and pesto they provided. The fresh bread was fluffy and had the perfect texture. We then had the smoked prime ribeye, which was amazingly delicious, and the Joyce farms fried chicken, which was juicy and tender and scrumptious. The portions were perfect and the sides combined to make perfect dishes. The sunrise margarita and wine pairings were great! We topped the meal off with the better than anything beignets and a surprisingly fantastic sweet potato creme brulee. The beignets were soft and fluffy, and the sweet potato didn't overwhelm the creme brulee, acting as a great fall dessert.

Warm hospitality, delicious food, excellent all around. Food is upscale but not pretentious , well seasoned, clear southern influences. Wish I’d photographed the peach cobbler but it was probably gone too fast!

Food was fine. But waiting was the order of the day. Waited for the valet, waited for the Matre de, waited for the waitress, waited for wine, waited for the second glass of wine.

Really loved this place. Never been to Birmingham before. Looked at Google reviews of restaurants near our hotel and this place looked like a winner. It was! Sat at the bar and had the chicken. It was really good! The staff was friendly and made great recommendations. Loved the place!

The service was truly exceptional! The palate cleansers they serve between courses really elevate the experience. Out of the comparable restaurants in the area, cafe Dupont has by far been the best! The pork belly was phenomenal and so was the peach cobbler! The honey ice cream that came with the cobbler was absolutely incredible, I’ve never had anything like it! I will absolutely be back!

Service was impeccable! The flavors of the food from beginning to end were immaculate! One of the best dining experiences I have had. Bishop was our server and he was awesome! The only reason I gave 4 stars was because the Margarita Sunrise that I ordered was not very good. But none of the food missed! We had the oyster and okra for an appetizer. The red snapper and scallops and the Duck breast were entrees.

We had a reservation for 4 on a Saturday night. After being seated it took at least 15 minutes before anyone came to the table. Appetizer came before our drinks with no plates. Asked about the cocktails we had ordered and the waiter said they were coming and laughed. We were seated near the bar and could see they hadn’t even been started. When they finally arrived 15 minutes later, we asked for our check.
The bread was delicious.

Service was impeccable! The food was good too...everything was extremely fresh and their wine collection was impressive. Unfortunately, the beignets were terrible, skip that and order the peach cobbler, and you won't be disappointed!

This was such a romantic place for our date night. The food was flavoful and we loved the wine pairings offered for each course. I recommend the sweet potatoe cornbread & pork belly, also the fried oysters for starters...(Not pictured because we at it quickly)...Our waiter was very knowledgeable about his wine & gave great suggestions on the courses.
