Great dinner

This was my first time ever coming to Carrabbas, so I had high expectations.
The food was pretty good, except for the mashed potatoes. Our server was pleasant and friendly. However, my biggest complaint is the kitchen staff and other waiters. The open kitchen design was not a smart move, as you can hear every childish conversation. Just listening to the other employees inside and outside of the kitchen sounded like a bunch of young teenage boys joking and being loud. Not a professional atmosphere at all.

Ordered my food and when they brought the bread and the herbs with oil I had ate some of the and was moving the pieces around for a smaller piece and noticed mold growing on the bread. Notified the waitress and she apologized and brought fresh but I refused it. No manager or shift person came to apologize only the waitress.

Food was amazing. Haven't been here in over a decade and I used to get lasagna ravioli. Had it for the first time in forever. It was just as amazing as I remember it being!

We've visited carrabbas many times over the years. Today we ordered the stuffed mushrooms for the appetizer followed by the house salad. Both were prepared well and were tasty. The bread and oil with spices are really good with your meal. For our main course I had spaghetti with meatballs. It was very good. The meatballs were seasoned well and the pasta was cooked properly. My wife had the johnny trio. The ravioli and chicken were both good. The steak marsala was excellent. Carrabbas has the best marsala sauce out there.

Unfortunately the restaurant itself has some serious issues. The interior is well over due for a remodel. The restrooms had a foul odor coming from them. I'm sure it was in part to the ridiculous amount of rain we've had lately. I am quit sure that part of the odor is the Drain in the restrooms which probably needs to be snaked out and throughly cleaned by a professional.

We were greeted at the door by professional person who quickly seated us. Waitress was quick to come to our table asked for drink orders and came back with warm bread and spices, orders were placed and quirked served and her and another staff member. We watched the overall flow the restaurant. It looked like a well oiled machine, great teamwork. Impressed by more than just wait staff, they took just a minute more to interact with us. Great job. Food and service was impressive

Best restaurant in the Birmingham area. Our family has been coming here for 20 years and we have never had a bad meal or bad service. From the bread to dessert, you can’t go wrong no matter what you order. Highly recommend to everyone!!!

Carrabas always has the best meals! Amari took my order over the phone with great professionalism and even had me laughing. Thank you carrabas! I will be back soon!! It was raining and my kids where so stressed!!
