How nice to have just arrived from Miami to live in Birmingham and find a restaurant where I was born, I love it!

Was there last night and realized when we got there that it was a huge mistake. Food is way over priced and they only have 6 entres on the menu, the ceviche isnt made the way its supposed to and plates are very small portions. Wouldn’t go back the restaurant is all for show imo. No value. Spent $170 on

We had a great experience with our impromptu work dinner with our party of 15. Our server Thomas P. was very accommodating and worked to help our large group have a wonderful time. The flavors of the food were bold and paired well with the amazing drink menu. We loved the daiquiris and the Will You Be My Hurricane drinks were our favorites. But please don’t miss the Guri Guri - so yummy! Located right in the heart of downtown in a walkable area from neighboring hotels. Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Game changer!!! My husband and I had such an amazing experience here!! We had just had a horrible experience checking in at the Kelly, but being able to enjoy the atmosphere and the genuine staff at cayo coco helped us recover from our check in debacle. Josh was so helpful in his drink and food recommendations. I highly recommend this restaurant!!!

One of the best restaurants in Birmingham, and the best servers as well!! Have the bartenders here make your favorite rum cocktail, and anything Trent makes is divine, the service as well as the food and drinks here make Birmingham a place every foodie should stop to enjoy, no reservations needed either ??

Some things like the pork belly bao and oxtail are really good but others like the swordfish and risotto were really disappointing. No seasoning on the risotto or fish then enough salt to fill the red sea on the outside. The drink menu is just not good..

Our server went above and beyond to help me as I was struggling with the QR code menu while wrapped up in a second date. He caught the vibe, was able to walk us through the menu, and even left his personal cell phone with the menu with us while we settled in. Big flavors from the Amberjack and Jerk Chicken. Elevated Latin food in a hip spot. Recommend for a fun night out.

First of all... we absolutely love that they gave us a glass of water when we sat down!!! If I'm going to get my drink on... I need water!! Cocktails here are absolutely delicious... Seriously, the best old-fashioned I have ever had. And it's made with rum...who knew rum was so yummy in a classic cocktail. Last time I had rum was in Jamaica and well that's a story for another time, anyway... I swore off rum and that was 25 years ago. Well Cayo Coco has made me love rum again!! Wonderful location too and close to other cocktail lounges and restaurants if you want to make a night of it and get your drink on!! We will be back!!

It was a beautiful place to be and the drinks are definitely going in my top ten places to go in town. And don’t get me started on the amazing food. But I will say the space is vary tight and you can barely hear yourself speaking yet alone if you are with another person. But I went near the height of dinner time. When I go again I should go during the later times. But I would highly recommend going.

I’ve lived Downtown ever since this place opened but mainly only used it as a cool drinks spot. That said, I came over tonight and met Nick (the bartender) and he started recommending incredible new drinks/food that I’d never had here before and it was top notch! I have no problem saying that I’ve previously been a staple at the area’s oldest and most incredible restaurants but, bc Nick has opened my eyes to Cayo’s amazingdrinks/food, I’m absolutely adding them to my rolodex of restaurants that you’ve GOT to visit if you’re downtown and looking for a place that you, or anyone you’re with, will have an incredible experience.
