I went yesterday for the first time and probably wont return. I got a to go order and if the menu prices are correct I was overcharged almost 10 dollars I got a meat &2 veggies my husband got 3 veggies with no meat and two desserts and we paid almost 34.00. Even with the .50 cent charge to go shouldn't have been that high. Please if you see this can you update your menu prices.

It was a delicious lunch at Cedar House. I had the stuffed pepper, turnip greens, fried green tomatoes, and Mexican cornbread. The stuffed pepper looked somewhat dry, so my expectations were not high. However, it was still very good. My husband had the beef tips, which were also delicious. We will definitely be back!

First time ever trying this restaurant I felt like I walked into grandma‘s house and she had a whole bunch of food ready to eat. I had a very difficult time trying to make up my mind, but I chose what I chose and It was worth what I got, now I’m gonna have to come back and try more stuff Because the food is really good reasonably priced and I love meat and vegetables
Me my family and coworkers have been going to cedar house since 2000’s and it has not one time ever been a bad experience . It is the best meat and 3 in Birmingham and will always be thanks for all the great food and memories cedar house and great job to cedar house staff see y’all soon for another great meal !!!

Locally owned, hole in the wall venue, friendly service, amazing breakfast! Highly recommend anyone in the area to stop by and visit at least once. The fried pork chop and egg breakfast is second to none. The western or meat lovers omelette is absolutely delicious! The French toast is not for the diabetic with its extremely flavorful cinnamon and powdered sugar topping. Another recommended breakfast choice is asking for grilled toast, you'll think me later! If you live close or traveling through, you need to visit our friends over at the cedar house and experience the local food!

I’ve tried it twice before, TODAY I made my final review. So in my experience the food and service is good. I’ve only done breakfast.. I love the breakfast and the prices.. the staff is friendly and really serves..
Until the owner doubled charged for the breakfast.. gave us a menu, never even mentioned the prices changed, matter of fact upon ordering my husband asked the waitress about the prices because he was shocked and doubled his meal because of the price ??♀️ and the waitress was like yes it’s correct with new menus ??♀️ ( Let me say this as a family of 5 our eat out expenses are budgeted out of our home every month so paying whatever is not the problem.. )
Today this is moral and principle ☝️and just plan old being right in your mind & heart.
??two eggs breakfast that read on the menu $5.65-$5.95 somewhere in between that range after ordering breakfast 3 2egg breakfast @$5.95, free water, grilled cheese @$2.75 , cup of coffee$2.75 ??♀️ .. I should have paid $24-$26 .. plus my $10 tip … my order came up to $42 .$10tip.

When I asked him about the price of the ticket..he said the menus were old don’t pay the menus no mind ..??♀️???♀️??who does this???
