A French bistro tucked into the heart of Birmingham. I had the trout amandine — buttery, delicate, and balanced with toasted almonds. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate, with a little European charm. Service was polished but warm, making the evening feel relaxed yet special.

Steak frites landed perfectly—tender beef, crisp fries, and a bright pan sauce that tied it all together. Service moved smoothly without fuss, and the bistro buzz made the room feel lively but unhurried. A polished classic that still feels genuinely cozy.

We've been going here forever. The food and service are fantastic. There's a reason it's always fully booked!

Perhaps I ordered incorrectly. My husband and I went for his birthday. I hadn’t been in for many many years. I had the burger. It was incredibly disappointing and bland. The hamburger meat desperately needed salt. As did the fries. I would not order again.

The ambiance is a nice escape from the trashy streets of 5 pts. Miss the days when you could buy wine on the corner at the wine shop and Highlands was open!

We happened across this French restaurant located in the heart of the Five Points area and it did not disappointment. We started off with some well crafted cocktails (Negroni & Day in Normandy) that were delicious.

My wife had the crab cakes that were savory and decadant. I had the chicken liver Banh Mi that was prepared with a fantastic sauce that made my mouth water.

Everything was perfect for lunch!

If this one of the best burgers and receives all the hip I am dumb founded it is midicor and best very over priced lack seasoning and was not done to medium. I guess you would call them some type of French fry the the oil was not at the right temp and were very greasy because of it shame on a so called high end restaurant same on Frank Stitt he better play more attention to what is happening. Would not recommend and pay good money for such food.

This Highlands affiliated establishment brings a Paris Bistro to a shady street in Five Points. Reservations are a must but come early and enjoy a drink at the bar along with a very Parisian hard boiled egg. In addition to the bar and main room there is a lovely garden area where, weather permitting you can enjoy your evening.
The menu is small but beautifully curated to showcase the best in class preparations of quintessential French Bistro fare…moulles, escargot, steak tartar, pate. The Trout Amandine with superb and the Duck with cherries a delight. One of our guests ordered the Croque Monsieur and said she was instantly back in Paris 20 years ago
The serving staff was wonderful to us and our two hours were a highlight to our visit to Birmingham.
