Kind employees, Fast service and Fantastic breakfast this morning. Egg and cheese biscuit, add tomatoes. Side of cheese grits. I think the biscuit might have been made with 2 eggs, scrambled and cooked to perfection (still wet and not over or under cooked). Grits were nicely seasoned with a little pepper and salt, also perfect consistency, not dry, no clumps, just right. They give you a styrofoam cup to get your own coffee. Creamer is in the fridge, sugar is at the counter. Prices and speed are comparable to fast food places. The quality is far superior. Skip the fast food chain, support a local business!

So my experience was different this time. I ordered a philly cheese steak sandwich with fries and drink, and my boyfriend a hotdog. The total was 17.85 and the philly was not good whatsoever. The meat was dry and there was barely any meat and definitely barely any onions or bell peppers which is what makes a philly cheese steak sandwich. I am posting the pictures in the picture section and you will see that it's not worth even 4 bucks. Need to have a talk with the cook because my first experience was great, but that was breakfast so maybe that is why. My boyfriend's hotdog was a joke. It looked like a gas station hotdog but way worse. My 8 yr old can make a hotdog better then that. It was sloppy, thrown together without any care in the world. Bread was soggy and didn't taste good at all. Only reason I gave 3 stars is because of the first experience I had, but I can say they will only have one more chance to undo this bad experience. Also the lady at the cashier had an attitude because she couldn't understand that we didn't want a combo for the hotdog, only the hotdog. I would like a refund if at all possible because this meal wasnt worth the acid reflux that I'm getting from the overly greasy fries and hard meat from the phillysub.

This was my 1st time eating here and it was great experience.. fast in and out process I had to cheese burger and u can tell they cook with love... my daughter had a hotdog with fries and she loved the fries and I did too.. only thing is they need more sitting room inside.. other than that everything was great
First visit to this homestyle diner. I loved The Big Nasty Hashbrowns. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Chris Z's is a family owned restaurant across the street from St. Vincent's Hospital. The service and food are both excellent. For breakfast, we recommend the Big Nasty (or Little Nasty for the smaller appetites!) or an omelette. For lunch, the Z Cheeseburger is the way to go. You can dress it up with chili and bacon! If burgers aren't your style, chili cheese dogs are an excellent alternative. Enjoy!

The Big Nasty is such a unique breakfast that is top notch. Along with the lunch menu this is the best food in BHAM. The philly is amazing and the burger is tremendous. The staff is some of the nicest people I have met. I will keep going back!!
