ON WINE TIME! I was invited to a function for Children's of Alabama. The function took place at Classic Wine Company. Honestly it is so shocking that I had never been to this shop before. As I used to work in homewood and be in and around that area plenty of times. The function included a wine tasting. Josh (owner) and a few others did a fantastic job guiding us through each course with the proper pairing. I've been to other wine tastings, but never got an experience quite like this one. When we got to the dessert course the pairing of the wines and dessert bite from Pastry Art was exceptional. I typically don't go for red wines, but the wine plus the chocolate pastry made an explosive interaction with each other against my tastebuds. It's awesome to know of this business and the amazing service that comes with it. They do offer free wine tasting to the public on Friday nights so I will definitely be back!

We attended a wine tasting January 12 and were impressed by the warm friendly atmosphere. They were unpretentious and welcoming. We aren't wine snobs, by any stretch of the imagination, but we did enjoy the six selections they chose for the evening...3 red, 3 white. We found a couple we liked and bought a few bottles a very affordable prices. There's a separate area with appetizers and snacks where I can hangout and chill. This is simply a great place and an excellent value.

Not only does this wine store have some of the best prices in the city, they also have some extremely unique and affordable events- free wine tastings every Friday at 530, som classes with wine and food pairings once a month, and even book club meetings and Star Wars screening nights. Complete with dogs inside to pet, friendly employees, and a wine bar in the back, this is absolutely a spot you shouldn’t miss.

What a great, friendly place! When I stopped in looking for gin, the sweet woman behind the counter let me know that they only sold wine, but took the time to direct me to a nearby package store. Walking back, I stopped in to say thank and buy a bottle of chilled white wine...I spotted some wine glasses on sale and put them on the counter to check out. Apparently they were not in the computer inventory properly so she could not find a price...as an alternative, she gave me a fantastic "deal" on them. You know I'll be back for sure!

They have so many wines to choose from at all price ranges. I was presently surprised when I just happened to show up before their 5:30pm Friday night wine tasting so that was great. The people I met there were really nice and helpful also. I will be back for sure.
