This place is a hidden gem for receptions and parties alike. Definitely recommend!

Held my daughters wedding reception dinner dance at concordia July 2023.We seated 130 guests easily but could have added other tables for more guests.Staff , on site, worked well with us, the orchestra , (8 people on stage) and caterers; so, everything was set up when guests arrived.Staff was very cooperative and also helpful with set up suggestions.Ice machine , large warming oven, 2 large refrigerators, prep tables etc in kitchen. We used the area near the kitchen to set up double line buffet, tea /soft drinks /water. Cake tables.Parking lot is flat and paved and entrance has large canopy for drop off incase of rain.The interior of Concordia is VERY NICE. Guest enter a decorated formal foyer with seating .. couch , 4 chairs , 2 buffets.Also there is a separate room with a beautiful antique bar, hand painted wall paper and enough room for 2 or more bartenders.Dance floor is large and excellent. Disco ball in ceiling and also ceiling fans.. lighting is adjustable. mirrored walls and soft light from wall sconces lend a romantic atmosphere for a wedding reception.Ladies restroom is well decorated.... nice and clean.The price was low relative to the other venues I looked at. We were very pleased that we chose concordia for our special night.

The outside is not impressive. The inside is AMAZING, I had a 90th Birthday party of my Mom there and everyone was so impressed. It has off street free parking, You can use your own caterer and Band or DJ. Separate Bar area if you plan to bring alcohol or just good Iced tea. I highly recommend it for Rentals for Birthday parties, weddings and/or Receptions, office parties, and it can even be set up for meetings.

For the price, a very good value for a wedding, banquet or a dance. We go there often for private dance functions and occasional buffet dinners. Inside is one of the biggest and best dance floors in town, with disco ball, mirrored walls, and gold scounces. There is a small but nicely funished lobby and a really unique bar with historic photos of the former German Men's club from the 1800's. It has a pressed tin ceiling, large ice machine and 20 ft+ antique bar. Also there is a large kitchen with warming station and several professional refrigerators. In the past, some caterers/decorators propped opened the doors for hours, sometimes affecting cooling. New controls allowing remote temp control and monitoring of leaving doors opened seemed to have corrected any issues. Large parking area and security is part of the contract. Great location near Sloss furnance and one of Birmingham's biggest dance floors make this a unique and fun venue.

I love it!, it didn't look as large as it is on the inside as the outside looked like a very small building.

There is so much room even for 6ft distancing. Very lovely accommodations for meetings or celebrations. Has a bar and large kitchen. Bathrooms are nice as well. Women's bathroom has seating area that's great for getting ready for that special event.

This place is so gorgeous! Its really spacious, the air flow is nice! Its just perfect!

My daughter's wedding was held here. Its a beautiful facility. The staff was superior to work with. My BIGGEST complaint and my photographer warned me that she had done 3 weddings here and had the same issue. IT WAS HOT. The air condition is evidently not equipped to handle the facility, they were conserving on the cost of electricity or the unit was just broke. The staff kept assuring me that it was nothing wrong with it. The only comfortable area was the bar area and it could not have been at 65 degrees like the staff told me. There's ceiling fans and they helped, yet still our guests were fanning. Other than that, Concordia is very nice and accomodating. Don't let them fool you about that air.
