I love coming here! Last time I went I ordered A bagel. I ordered it from an employee with bouncy balls tied in her hair. I then sat there for a solid 10 minutes while she talked to her friends and did not make my bagel, then an employee who had just clocked in and asked me if I had already ordered, and I told her and she made it. Bouncy ball girl still did nothing.

No ideas how this place has 4.5 stars!! The case was 90% empty and what was available was try and tasted more than a few days old. Not just left over from this morning.
But amongst all was the almond croissant. It’s like card board and styrofoam had a baby and they put a tsp of almond cream inside. I’ve been to over 20 states had over 300 almond croissants and I’ve never NEVER had something so dry with said texture. Maybe had they put some almond cream it would have eased the blow but they didn’t. I should have known a bakery with almond croissants past mid morning couldn’t have been with the powdered sugar on top.
The other items they had were all piled on top each other on one tray so it was hard to tell what anything looked like with the dungeon lighting.
I’m not sure how you mess up a shortbread cookie but when a 5yr old won’t eat half of it that’s really saying something.
Maybe the location keeps this place open or low local standards. I don’t know but if today was a representation of what they sell time is not going to be their friend. If anything after a certain time discount what’s left knowing it’s past its prime and anything positive.

Reached out per owners request on social media and they refused to respond. They offered an “olive branch” just to hit me over the head and make me waste my time reaching out. And the experience wasn’t bad enough already they made sure to send it further downhill

It was so cozy and everyone was very nice even with how busy they were. I would 100% recommend the Croissants. You could taste the butter of the pastry without it being overwhelmed by the flavor of the filling. The macaroons had really good flavors, but you should let them sit and defrost a bit before eating them. They will be kinda tough otherwise.

We spent an exorbitant amount of money on the pastries and were very disappointed. They all lacked flavor and were dry. At best the flavor was peculiar, at worst there was no flavor. The brownie was particularly disappointing as it lacked cocoa flavor and really didn’t even taste like chocolate.

Celebrated with a group in Chez Lulu. The atmosphere was great and the food quality and assortment was nothing short of amazing! The staff were so friendly and welcoming. My favs were the Greek pizza and chocolate Potacreme.

I love this place so so much. It has the coolest atmosphere. It has a European type vibe and it's extremely cozy. They have coffee and the BEST baked goods. We got coffee, a lemon bar, and a strawberry cheesecake croissant. It was very good. I will say, my pastry wasn't warmed, but I didn't ask and I was still very good.

Queenie was amazing, just like one I had in Montreal. Cardamom bun was a unique blend of sweet and spicy, very sophisticated.

I wanted to try this place out because I saw they had some vegan options. Emailed them about dietary restrictions but never replied so I had to call and ask. There were only four sweets available that were vegan and I was told that the sourdough bread was vegan so only five vegan options.
Health score was a 90 as of October, 26, 2024.
No clear menu to know all items and does not say what the dietary restrictions are on the items.
The poppy seed lemon muffin and chocolate muffin was delicious.
Dietary restrictions: There were only four sweets available that were vegan and I was told that the sourdough bread was vegan so only five vegan options.
Parking: Street parking is available so it may be difficult to find parking.

This place is always incredible, but TODAY- THEY WERE AT THE TOP OF THEIR GAME. The baguette, first of all, it the most heavenly fluff I've ever had in my life. Ripped off a piece, and the bread squished and re-fluffed to the original shape... what!?!? Heaven. The everything bagel- 15/10, pan au chocolate was also the most delectable one in existence. Always the best coffee in town. Thanks, Continental, for making my day and ruining every other bakery for me! I love you.
