Best crawfish in Birmingham. The atmosphere is perfect. The servers we could not ask for a better set up. These people are Cajuns and know how it’s done. If you’re lucky enough to be in Birmingham during crawfish season do NOT sleep on them. Best in the city. I’ve had everywhere else it’s all bogus. The rumalade here is a boil necessity.
I ordered the grilled catfish filled, gouda grits and ya ya gumbo. WOW! The fillet was not only huge, but spiced and grilled to perfection. The gumbo side was large with loads of chicken, sausage and seafood. New Orleans couldn't have made it better. The grits were the perfect side for the catfish. All the items came out hot and stayed that way throughout the meal.
The staff was friendly, even brining water out for my pup. When the check came, it didn't empty...

Always been a favorite but today was just not the same unfortunately. Shrimp was like cardboard and soft shell crab lacked flavor as well. We have always been 100 percent here so I am sad. Edit to add staff are wonderful and were today as well. She did bring more shrimp We would never disrespect you all in any way. The seafood was not flavorful today for some reason. No ill will intended. Maybe it was not as fresh, I simply stayed the truth. We will try it again!
