This is a great place if anyone in your party has food allergies or sensitivities. Delta Blues has done a great job of navigating those, and they have created some dishes that you wouldn't even know are "free" of the ingredients you're avoiding. They had recently added and mastered fried mushrooms. They're GF and vegan, so they were also safe for the DF members of our party. Shortly before this visit, they had announced their closing. I do hope they may consider a food truck, or a pop-up, or even catering. There is certainly a need for this in the market.

Delta Blues is closing its doors this weekend, but they still deserve a review! THANK YOU for acknowledging dietary restrictions & labeling the menu. Gluten Free (GF), Dairy Free (DF), & Soy Free (SF) Cajun food is difficult to find, & I felt very comfortable ordering. The waitress said the menu is 100% GF & SF, and only 2 dishes have dairy. The Bayou Trio was flavorful, fresh, & very filling. My family also enjoyed their tamales & catfish. Minus a star for the long wait, but hey, it's seafood- worth it!

Delta Blues was a hidden gem we found on a whim as we stayed the night in Birmingham. Great live music and delicious food! Everything is prepared gluten free which is very good for people with Celiac disease. Food takes a bit to get to the table, but that’s probably because they’re making it fresh. Fried Catfish and fried pickles were delicious. The corn choux was not as good as I had hoped but everything else was top notch.

This place was so good! My best friend and I went here for lunch while traveling home from Birmingham. We are both vegans and were nervous looking for yummy vegan options out here, but this place was AMAZING! Plenty of delicious vegan options- the mashed sweet potatoes, black bean tamales, fried jalapeños, and vegan ranch were top notch. Addison was our server and they were great as well. Definitely recommend this place!

Very impressed with the menu here. Unique food for this area. They have delicious tamales that you can get smothered in all kinds of goodness. Tacos are excellent - especially the catfish tacos! Best greens I have ever eaten. Live Music! This will be a regular place for me.

The service was great, the food was AMAZING! The tamales are world class! I’m vegan and they made several of the tamale options with black bean filling. There’s also an amazing butter bean hummus that was SO good. The server asked us up front if we had any dietary restrictions or allergies which is awesome because my son has food allergies and it’s always awkward when the waitstaff doesn’t have any idea what you’re talking about. This place is a HIDDEN GEM!

Really focused menu in keeping with the theme. Good New Orleans beers. Food comes out fast, hot and tasty. Service is usually exceptional, but there have been occasional staffing issues. All in all, best place around for authentic Mississippi delta food.

After traveling all day on our way to the beach, we decided to try something local for dinner. This restaurant didn’t disappoint. The tamales were amazing! You can definitely tell they are made with love. The catfish was awesome too! If you like to support local businesses- then go! It’s worth the trip.

100% Gluten free 100% good food. Amazing menu and incredibly friendly staff. All food is GF but they have a full bar that has non GF drinks. Latino fusion with great Louisiana dishes . Try the Crawfish Étouffée you will not regret it.
